Quitting smoking
Changes in in-house smoking rate
ITOKI regards smoking prevention as an issue for protecting the health of employees, and has been continuing its efforts such as introducing a smoking cessation support program since 2017 and regularly distributing the support magazine "Recommendation for Quitting Smoking" for those who want to quit smoking. From 2021, "Quit Smoking for 3 Days" was rolled out to the entire company with the aim of making ITOKI a smoke-free, clean company at all business locations. As a result of such continued efforts, the smoking rate of all employees has significantly decreased from 32.6% in 2012 to 15.8% in 2022. As the smoking rate increased in fiscal 2023, we once again strengthened smoking cessation support by continuing to implement the smoking cessation outpatient subsidy system and working hours declaration.
Changes in in-house smoking rate
Introduction of smoking cessation support program
In order to encourage employees who want to quit smoking, we have introduced a "Smoking Cessation Support Program" and are operating a system of subsidies for smoking cessation outpatient care and an in-house watchdog system. We have also launched new measures such as an online smoking cessation program and a 3-day no-smoking program that allows employees to easily try quitting smoking, and as an organization we are fully supporting employees to take a step toward quitting smoking. In fiscal 2024, we implemented a trial program for Nicorette (gum/48 pieces/2 weeks' worth) and Nicotinell Patch (medicinal patch/7 pieces/1 week's worth) based on the concept of "experiencing a life without smoking."

Support magazine for those aiming to quit smoking Recommendations for quitting smoking
Every month, our health staff disseminates various information and trivia quizzes about tobacco to the entire company in a fun and easy-to-understand way, ``Recommendations for quitting smoking.'' We will continue to provide the latest information as a support magazine for those aiming to quit smoking.

Company-wide rollout of 3-day smoking cessation program
From 2021, the three days following World No Tobacco Day on May 31 will be designated as "ITOKI Quit Smoking 3 Days" and the entire company is working to achieve a smoke-free three days with the aim of a clean ITOKI. In fiscal 2024, the smoke-free period will be expanded to two weeks, creating an environment where employees can start at their own convenience.
