Participating in initiatives
Signing the United Nations Global Compact
Itoki signed the United Nations Global Compact in June 2018. The United Nations Global Compact is a voluntary initiative for companies and organizations to act as good members of society and participate in creating a global framework for achieving sustainable growth by demonstrating responsible and creative leadership. This is an initiative. We support the ten universal principles of human rights, labor, the environment, and anti-corruption advocated by the United Nations, and will contribute to building a sustainable society. In addition, we will strive to solve SDGs issues through participation in subcommittee activities hosted by Global Compact Network Japan, a local network in Japan.

Endorsement of TCFD recommendations and formulation of initiative policies
The Itoki Group views responding to climate change as one of its important management issues, and in June 2020, announced its support for the recommendations of the Task Force on Climate-related Financial Disclosures (TCFD). Based on the recommendations of the TCFD, we analyze and disclose the risks and opportunities that climate change brings to our business.

Participation in GX League
The Itoki Group participates in the Ministry of Economy, Trade and Industry's Green Transformation League (GX League). The GX League is a forum for industry, government, and academia to collaborate with the aim of achieving sustainable growth by taking on the challenge of GX with an eye toward achieving carbon neutrality in 2050 and social transformation. We will contribute to national efforts to combat climate change.

The Itoki Group participates in the Climate Change Initiative, a network of Japanese non-governmental actors that actively works towards achieving the 1.5 degrees target. This network brings together companies, local governments, organizations, and NGOs that support ``Japan's participation at the forefront of the world's efforts to decarbonize.''
Joining the Japan Climate Leaders Partnership (JCLP)
