Mental health measures (four types of care)

self care

We provide training and education to help employees learn how to control their stress reactions and increase stress tolerance in the workplace.
This is conducted at each workplace during the first, second, and third years after joining the company.

We have set up a specialized space called ``Mind Fitness Zone'' where you can practice mindfulness (meditation) in a quiet place.

We continue to provide training and education to all managers every year so that they can recognize and deal with signs of mental health issues in their subordinates from an early stage.

Internal EAP

Health staff are permanently stationed at the Health Promotion Offices in Tokyo, Osaka, and Shiga.
In close collaboration with industrial physicians and counselors, we evaluate the workplace environment and stress levels, and work with managers to make improvements.

external EAP

We have established an external consultation desk that can be used not only by employees but also by their families for any concerns related to work, personal life, health, etc.
We have created an environment where you can consult 24 hours a day, in person, by phone, or by email.

stress check

The stress check participation rate for fiscal 2023 was 96.0%, and we have maintained a high standard of over 90% for requests to introduce the system. The percentage of people with high stress is 11%, which is gradually decreasing as measures are taken to improve the workplace environment.

Return to work support program

We support employees who have taken time off due to mental health issues to return to work, with a focus on industrial health staff in the workplace, as well as managers, supervisors, attending physicians, and others.

We provide necessary follow-up at each of the five stages based on the "Guidelines for Supporting Workers Returning to Work after Taking a Leave of Absence Due to Mental Health Issues (Ministry of Health, Labor and Welfare)."

In particular, as part of our efforts to prevent employees from taking leave from work again, we are putting effort into conducting regular interviews with industrial psychiatrists, using external rework facilities, acclimating employees to work before returning to work, and providing in-house counseling.
In order to prevent the occurrence of absenteeism in the first place, we are focusing on primary and secondary prevention and taking preventive measures.
