Fostering an internal community
Implementing the Income PDCA cycle to improve ES and corporate value
At ITOKI, the purpose of internal communication (INCOMI) is "maximizing corporate value." We believe that the effect of INCOMI is to contribute to improved business performance, such as increased motivation, loyalty, and ultimately productivity. To this end, we start with basic awareness activities that accurately and clearly communicate the company's policies and vision, and internal newsletters and events that generate empathy, and by activating communication, we deepen and continue mutual understanding. The slogan for INCOMI is "ONE ITOKI," which aims to improve "unity," which is also a keyword in our management policy, and we promote activities that emphasize the spirit of leaving no employee behind. The subtitle is "We Design Tomorrow. We Design WORK-Style." and we always try to keep our employees' eyes on our mission to stakeholders through our business.
In addition, at INCOMI, the PR department conducts a communication survey every year in coordination with the results of the employee engagement survey conducted by the HR department. We extract issues from both surveys and repeat the PDCA cycle to link them to the next measures.

Factory Ambassador's second year of success
In order to disseminate on-site information that is essential for manufacturing companies, ITOKI launched factory ambassador activities (volunteer, open recruitment system) in April 2022, based at each factory, as a window of information. The factory ambassadors work in collaboration with the public relations department to support the dissemination of information related to people, things, and events that are difficult for the public relations department to find at the site through the web in-house newsletter. This has been well received by the sales department as it allows them to deepen their understanding of the manufacturing process of our products and is useful for explaining things to customers. As on-site public relations officers, the factory ambassadors continue to work to let people know about the appeal of the factory, and in fiscal 2023, we have enhanced the ambassador's dissemination plans with the theme of "self-driving". In the second half of 2023, we will also be preparing to shift the secretariat function from public relations to the factory, and in fiscal 2024, the third year, we will graduate from public relations support and will carry out activities entirely at the factory.

The "Faces of ITOKI" series, which caused a stir in the company newsletter, is now being used for corporate advertising
ITOKI regards employee engagement as one of its key management indicators, along with sales and operating profit, and is implementing various measures such as strengthening internal communication. Diverse human resources are ITOKI's treasure, and it is precisely because many people support each other that we are able to achieve high quality and deep trust. In the "Faces of ITOKI" section, we take a close look at the human resources who are sincere in their work and who are active on the front lines as the "faces of ITOKI." We communicate with a focus on their passion and feelings toward their work.
In this context, the corporate advertisement "The Face of ITOKI", which was based on this and ran in the Nihon Keizai Shimbun and other newspapers for five consecutive days in December 2023, won the silver award in the newspaper category of the 45th Japan BtoB Advertising Awards.
By expressing the employees' passion and feelings toward their work in an impactful creative manner rather than focusing on "products" or "services," we aimed to communicate the company culture and increase employee motivation. This corporate advertisement, which is an extension of the internal communication measures, has received positive feedback not only from within the company, but also from employees' families and acquaintances, business partners, and local residents in the area where the company is based, and is contributing to further improving employee engagement.
