The concept is "a second home." An office space specialized for communication and collaboration, with a view of the main street overlooking the entire floor and face-to-face connections.

LIXIL Corporation is a manufacturer of housing equipment and building materials. In the project to relocate the head office from WING Building (Koto-ku, Tokyo) to Osaki Garden Tower (Shinagawa-ku, Tokyo) carried out in November 2022, ITOKI was responsible for comprehensive support, from project management, layout planning, to the selection and delivery of fixtures. A comfortable office space like home was created, clearly highlighting the "meaning of coming to the office."

Our company's project "PROJECT FUTURE SHIFT" promotes new ways of working, improves employee experience and provides new value. The concept of a "second home" that was born from this project does not only mean a way of working where employees can choose where they work to improve productivity, but also embodies our desire to create a comfortable work area that feels like a living room at home, and an office space where people can connect with each other and communicate with each other. Itoki deeply sympathized with our thoughts, and because they have a wealth of knowledge as an office furniture manufacturer, we felt we could leave it to them with confidence.
Employee satisfaction with the new office is very high, and because the layout can be easily changed and expanded, we believe it will be able to handle new operations in the future. With this project, ITOKI did not disappoint us. We look forward to continuing to work together to create "an office where everyone can be comfortable."

What I felt was unique about this project was that the task force members within LIXIL Corporation (from the branding, PR, design and general affairs departments) had a strong sense of purpose and worked together to consider and create everything from the concept to the interior CMF and sign design.
Based on LIXIL's own words and design ideas, the ITOKI team was able to refine and combine ideas to polish them, which I feel helped bring the project to fruition.
The new office that was completed in this way truly embodied the concept of a "second home," making it a very rewarding project.

This project started with a shocking request: "We want to create an office dedicated to communication for about 500 people for our approximately 8,000 employees." I remember being excited that LIXIL Corporation, which had been pushing ahead with work style reforms early on, was trying to take on a work style that goes beyond hybrid.
I feel that this office is a space that symbolizes the new way of being a global company, with a strong emphasis on people, as LIXIL Corporation does. I am honored to have been able to participate in this project, which values interaction and collaboration and embodies respect for diverse working styles.
