Sustainable Procurement Survey
To understand the penetration status of the Itoki Group Procurement Guidelines, we conduct a Sustainable Procurement Survey targeting major suppliers. Major suppliers are divided into three categories, and the survey is conducted for each category each year, with a three-year rotation.
In 2024, we requested 51 suppliers to complete a procurement survey, of which 41 responded. The suppliers we requested responses from include not only our top suppliers in terms of procurement amount, but also important suppliers who undertake painting and wood processing. We achieved a response status understanding rate of 86.7%, exceeding our target of 85% or more in terms of procurement amount.
year | request | answer | Response status grasp rate (Procurement ratio) |
High Risk |
---|---|---|---|---|
2022 | 84 companies | 75 companies | 66.3% | 0 |
FY2023 | 153 companies | 141 companies | 80.3% | 0 |
FY2024 | 51 companies | 41 companies | 86.7% | 0 |

2024 Survey Results
The 2024 response results confirmed high standards of initiatives in "Occupational Health and Safety," "Quality," and "Business Continuity." While differences were observed among suppliers in the level of initiatives in "Human Rights" and "Environment," Itoki recognizes these as important issues and will encourage greater initiatives in the future. Overall, no suppliers were identified as being at high risk.
Joint presentation with suppliers

To raise quality awareness among our business partners, we hold a joint presentation every year to share the results of our quality improvement activities. The themes of mutual learning include not only quality improvement and supply risk reduction, but also sustainability issues such as reducing environmental impact and consideration for human rights and working conditions, accelerating the creation of a sustainable procurement system with our suppliers.
Partnership building declaration

In 2023, we announced a partnership building declaration. Based on this, we have begun new initiatives such as supporting the working environment of our business partners.

Issues and measures
We have set "human rights compliance rate" as one of the KPIs for the ESG strategy in our medium-term management plan, and we are monitoring progress in this area through sustainable procurement surveys. As the demands placed on companies become more sophisticated in line with changes in social issues, we will strive to strengthen our response capabilities throughout our supply chain, including by conducting training on specific themes.
