Koyo Newtown is a large housing complex on the outskirts of Hiroshima City. Koyo Newtown Hospital, which opened in 1982 at the same time as its construction, has been providing medical services closely connected to the community for over 30 years. The hospital is rebuilding its aging facilities in order to make them earthquake-resistant and to respond to new medical needs. We made a new start in May 2014 as a total care hospital that is rooted in the community and provides consistent support for medical, nursing, and welfare services.

Koyo Newtown Hospital
Vice Director of the Hospital, Shoichi Takahashi
I believe that our thorough pursuit of making it easier for our staff to work led to us winning the Chugoku New Office Promotion Award despite being a medical facility. We would like to contribute to local medical care in the Koyo area and other areas so that we can provide services that meet this need. The lobby chairs in the waiting area are made from materials produced in Hiroshima Prefecture, and we requested them based on the image we were aiming for after visiting Itoki's Osaka showroom. The brightness and warmth of wood contribute to creating an atmosphere in the waiting area.
Comment
Koyo Newtown Hospital's philosophy is to provide the best insurance, medical, and welfare services suited to the individual circumstances of the local people, and in this rebuilding, the medical staff who support it will be The theme was to create a stress-free work environment and foster teamwork.
Itoki listened to everyone's requests and was able to propose and deliver furniture and equipment, including lobby chairs, made from locally sourced materials by Econifa, a local materials utilization solution.
The hospital is full of mechanisms to make working there easy, but I think hot desking examination rooms in particular are excellent in terms of efficiency and flexibility.
