An office and training facility designed for ease of use and to create opportunities for encounters between students, staff, and the local community as a platform for recruiting talent and contributing to the local community.

As recruitment activities become more difficult due to the recent declining birthrate, an increasing number of companies are taking unique measures to secure talented personnel. Johoku Shinkin Bank, which provides financial services that are closely tied to the local community, mainly in the Johoku district of Tokyo and southern Saitama Prefecture, has opened a new facility called the "Media Campus" to accommodate diversifying recruitment activities and staff training. This facility also serves as a base for PR activities open to the local community, such as disseminating information through internet radio.

Looking out over the floor from the entrance hall on the first floor, you can see the glass-walled radio booth to the left of the entrance, positioned so that it can be seen from the street outside. It's an impressive space that at first glance doesn't look like an office.

More than a year has passed since the "Media Campus" began operation. Currently, it is not only used as a venue for interviews, but is also actively used for seminars and internships, helping to recruit talent through a wide range of activities. We hope that if various people use it freely and experience its ease of use, comfort, and the way of working that we aim for, this will naturally become a new culture at our bank.

The Shinkin Bank's mission is to energize the local community. In order to create a sustainable local community, we will use the Media Campus as a point of contact between students, staff, local residents and businesses to promote activities to invigorate the local area.

The office is not only a place for the company to promote itself to students as a recruitment venue, but it was also consciously designed to be a space where job-hunting students can relax and take part in interviews, and demonstrate their abilities.

At the time of proposing the office, I was only in my first year of work, so I was able to bring a fresh perspective and sensibilities to the idea of various usage methods and designs. It is an office that we created working hand in hand with the client, and it is one that remains very fondly in my memory.

We hope to continue to be a "Media Campus" that is of service to our customers through recruitment activities and other means, and that becomes a familiar part of the local community.
