An office designed to suit your activities, where you can work in the optimal space.
The COVID-19 pandemic has led to a rapid advancement in the use of digital technology throughout society. As the digitalization of both the public and private sectors becomes necessary, Ehime Prefecture has announced a "Declaration to Challenge New Ways of Working," aiming to transform into a smart prefectural office.
In order to boldly change the way we work, we are creating smart offices where employees can choose the space that is best suited to their activities, and we are also working on new ways of working such as "hot desking" and "paperless."

As part of our prefecture's efforts to transform into a "smart prefectural office, unique to Ehime" as outlined in our "Declaration to Take on the Challenge of New Workstyles," we have converted some of the office's offices into smart offices to improve operational efficiency, while also taking measures to prevent the spread of COVID-19. We are extremely grateful to Ehime Prefectural Government for their pioneering proposals and their ability to turn those proposals into reality, allowing us to create an unparalleled office environment despite a very tight schedule.
Comment
This project had a clear goal from the early stages, and because we were able to share that goal with each other, the construction of the office went very smoothly. What was impressive was the criteria by which things were judged. It was a simple matter of whether something was smart or not.
All the members were very positive and eager to take on new challenges while thoroughly eliminating waste, making it a very enjoyable experience for us to work on this project. The key points of the space were that we created a new office that balanced a historic atmosphere with the rigid image of a government office, and that the design was easy to understand, allowing the operation and usability to be understood at a glance.

In this project, in anticipation of the reconstruction of the Second Annex, we conducted a questionnaire survey and a sensing survey using beacons to verify the effects of a smart office. We verified what changes were observed in employees' motivation and ease of working by changing the office and working style, implemented improvement measures for issues that arose from the new working style, and measured the effects of what changes were made. Based on the results of this effectiveness verification work, we will consider a policy for the reconstruction of the Second Annex in the future.
