Group Company Initiatives

The Itoki Group shares examples of environmental improvement activities from each division through its environmental management system, and horizontally deploys initiatives in line with the characteristics of each division and group company. Group companies also carry out their own environmental improvement activities, which are particularly contributing to reducing CO2 emissions.

Specific initiatives

Itoki All Steel Co., Ltd.

Ito-Ki All Steel Co., Ltd. is engaged in energy conservation activities by converting lighting in the factory to LED, updating air conditioning equipment, and reviewing manufacturing processes. In addition, construction is underway to install a solar power generation system on the factory building using an on-site PPA system, with the aim of starting operation in June 2024, in order to improve the renewable energy rate. Rather than simply disposing of waste generated during manufacturing, the company is working with recycling companies to recycle 100% of the packaging materials that are discarded in large quantities into souvenir bags for theme parks. In addition, the company has trained employees in sorting waste and promoted thorough sorting of waste, reducing waste by 26 tons in one year.
We participate in "child-rearing support activities" jointly implemented by industrial waste disposal companies and house manufacturers, and are proactively engaged in social contribution activities such as recycling "wood chips" into tables to help children to use resources effectively and develop a sense of caring for things.

Itoki Marui Industry's on-site PPA solar power generation system (to be installed in March 2023)

Itoki Marui Industry Co., Ltd. introduced a solar power generation system using the on-site PPA method in March 2023.
Fuji Living Kogyo Co., Ltd. is also proceeding with the introduction of a solar power generation system using the on-site PPA method, aiming to start operation in August 2024.

Shinnihon Sytec Co., Ltd. / Shimasobi Co., Ltd.

Both Shin-Nihon Systech Co., Ltd. and Shima-Soubi Co., Ltd. are promoting energy conservation by updating their office equipment and have changed their contracts to zero-CO2 emission electricity through non-fossil fuel certificates, thereby shifting the electricity used in their business to 100% renewable energy.

Sanko Facilities Co., Ltd.

Sanko Facilities Co., Ltd. changed the electricity contract for its office building to renewable energy electricity with non-fossil fuel certificates. In addition, considering that their sales area is within Tokyo, they completely eliminated the use of company cars and switched to using public transportation for sales activities, which resulted in a significant reduction in CO2 emissions.

Future tasks

Although individual initiatives to reduce CO2 emissions at each group company, including Itoki, are expanding, we recognize the need to elevate these initiatives to group-wide initiatives. Going forward, we will aim to increase the renewable energy rate for the entire group through initiatives such as switching to renewable energy for contracted electricity, mainly in offices, leading to reduced CO2 emissions.
