The geometric square lines of the unlocking operation panel match well with the lines of the pull, creating a design relationship with the cabinet itself, making it the perfect design for modern office space styles. . In particular, the unlocking operation panel uses a convenient touch operation that perfectly matches the operating habits of recent products, while also completely solving the battery issue.

Evaluation Comments from the “Good Design” Committee

I would like to commend the company for adopting a structure for this office chair that conforms to curved surfaces by molding two types of resin with different hardness into one piece. In an office chair where the mainstream solution is to use mesh deflection, this chair visually expresses its function simply. In addition, you can actually feel the panel bending around the fold line, and although the degree of freedom increases as the panel is divided into smaller pieces, it seems that the company has put a lot of effort into increasing conformity without increasing the number of panels.

When seated, the seat sinks and slides backward at the same time, and the lumbar portion of the backrest protrudes forward, allowing a stable seating position to be achieved without any manipulation. The design stance of leaving the adjustment to the chair, rather than providing complex adjustment functions and leaving it up to the user to adjust the optimal sitting comfort, is based on a thorough knowledge of the needs of a wide variety of people, and the technical and design capabilities that can satisfy them. This was something that only a certain expert could do, and I deeply sympathized with him.

Toiro

A height-adjustable desk/table that can be adjusted smoothly with simple operation to fit the physique, posture, and various scenes and moods of each user. Traditionally, health has been considered to be the responsibility of the individual, but due to the financial impact of declining labor productivity, business continuity, and rising medical expenses, the idea of employee health management as a management issue is spreading. ITOKI proposes Workicise, "healthy activities within the way of working," such as working while standing or walking to someone's desk, and aimed to create a desk/table that can become a key item in the office space that brings about changes in workers comfort, communication, and amount of exercise.

Although vertically adjustable desks have become commonplace in Japanese offices, they are kept simple without exaggerating their functionality, such as by neatly organizing the connections between legs and panels, and by eliminating wiring trays that create visual noise. . Safety has been taken into consideration, such as by devising the shape of the legs of the desks to ensure a gap between the desks, and by using a mechanism that detects obstacles while raising and lowering the desktop.

Inova

inova

Furniture for group work to practice design thinking. Design thinking is a systematic way of thinking that allows anyone to create value and innovation based on the thought process that designers use when creating value. Specifically, through the process of empathy, problem definition, idea generation, prototyping, and testing, we discover latent needs and solve problems to realize them. A feature of this furniture series is that users can change the furniture settings themselves and create the optimal environment through a design thinking process.

Whiteboards can be used to generate great ideas during group work. One person can write down what participants say, all participants can write down numerous ideas, everyone can look over what has been written or pasted, and the whiteboard can be used to leave the content as it is. It is desirable to be able to use it freely, such as continuing work across multiple sites. This product is an excellent design thinking tool that allows for a variety of uses by separating the whiteboard itself and its surroundings.

Evaluation Comments from the “Good Design” Committee

In contrast to simple lobby chairs, where the focus was on ease of cleaning and ease of use, these chairs are well thought out because they are made of warm wood, yet durable, and can be stacked when stored. Since it is made of wood and has a basic design, it feels gentle and warm and can be used with confidence. It can become a new basic chair with durability and flexibility, which are most important in hospitals.

Evaluation Comments from the “Good Design” Committee

I felt it was novel that the chair, desk, and shelf were integrated and functioned as a single individual unit. The unique approach of connecting these three with a pipe frame is highly evaluated as the result of a demonstration of industry-academia collaboration. It was interesting to see how the furniture constantly changes the distance between individuals through the work stage. I also felt the potential of the low-top whiteboard table.

Systema Find Picker

Systema Find Picker

A "small library open morning or night" where books can be retrieved automatically with a single user card. Even those who are unable to use the library during opening hours can borrow and return books on their way to work or school without having to go to the library. When returning a book, you can check the return history by simply dropping it into the box, and you can also reserve a new book.

Evaluation Comments from the “Good Design” Committee

Systema Find Picker was evaluated as innovative in its ability to decentralize library functions. A system that allows people to automatically pick up the books they want without time or location restrictions could change the way libraries operate, which have restrictions on time and location. There is also a function that randomly sets books on the receiving shelf and automatically discharges them to the empty shelf by simply operating the stocking button, and it is designed to reduce the burden on administrators, so it can be expected to be operated in cooperation with libraries. .
