i+ (eye plus)

Office accessories such as whiteboards, coat racks, and telephone stands have often been overlooked in offices and meeting rooms, playing a supporting role. However, we believe that these items have a major impact on the quality of the office environment. With the environment surrounding offices changing rapidly and office designs becoming more diverse, "i+" offers an anonymous, high-quality product series that blends in with a variety of interiors.

Evaluation Comments from the “Good Design” Committee

This is a new collaboration between two companies in the same office industry, one from overseas and the other from Japan, each with their own unique charms. The first items designed for this project were office accessories such as whiteboards, coat hangers, and telephone stands. For some reason, these items are not usually given the main focus in office furniture, but in fact they are very important items, and the designers have a keen eye for them. Furthermore, with the ever-expanding range of office styles, these items can be purchased online rather than through traditional office manufacturers, but there are also many inferior products available. This product demonstrates a commitment to creating truly beautiful products, and will no doubt contribute to creating high-quality spaces in the offices of the future.

Ipsa

Ipsa

In recent years, workshop-style training has become more common, and the way meeting chairs are used is also changing. Traditionally, meeting chairs have prioritized storage efficiency in order to accommodate changes in the number of people, but there are many calls for improvements to make it easier to sit for long periods of time. Ipsa adopts the rocking mechanism of an office chair while maintaining storage efficiency, improving seating comfort. By developing a new compact mechanism that fits inside the seat, it has become possible to install the "seat sliding mechanism linked to the back rocking mechanism," which was previously performed by a large, voluminous mechanism under the seat, in lightweight meeting chairs that can be nested.

Evaluation Comments from the “Good Design” Committee

Although it is a nesting chair, I appreciate the fact that it has a locking back and sliding mechanism for the seat. For this type of chair, which demands efficiency and low cost, we sought comfort and comfort, and achieved both with storage capacity. We felt that it met the needs of Japanese offices, where meetings tend to be long and flexible space management is required.

Active Field

The way we work in the office is constantly changing depending on the situation and phase. With fixed workstations, we have to move the place where we work for each situation, and changing the layout when the number of employees increases or decreases requires cost and effort. The concept of Active Field is "mobility." Workstations that can be easily moved according to the purpose flexibly respond to the ever-changing work style of organizations. From office seats to meetings and group work, we have a wide lineup of products that can be used in various situations, allowing you to configure the entire office. The uniformity and mobility of the modules makes it easy to change the layout and use due to organizational restructuring. It also helps reduce operating costs.

Evaluation Comments from the “Good Design” Committee

I would like to praise the simple and beautiful design of the mechanical part that inserts the latch into the top of the leg, and the fact that it is intuitive to operate. In addition, although it is a flap table, it can be used from the front or the back without giving a sense of directionality (seating direction), and I felt that it was flexible enough to continuously provide scenes from individual work to group work and meetings.
