A commons that embraces the diversity of student activities
Meiji University has been exploring what a new campus should be for the new era, and in March 2022, we built the eight-story Izumi Learning Square on the Izumi Campus. The Izumi Campus is a fresh campus where first and second year students from six liberal arts faculties and graduate students study. It is an educational building that develops the individual abilities of students by providing a variety of possibilities for places inside and outside the building, such as "a space where you can learn from your classmates and seniors," "a space where you can immerse yourself in remote classes," and "a space where you can feel at ease while still on campus."

The glass-walled group boxes visible from the entrance hall serve as a showcase for student activities, motivating students to learn.

In the open space facing the atrium, there are places where students can collaborate, such as the Center Agora, presentation lounge, and group boxes. Students can see what is happening from the surroundings, so both the viewer and the viewed can be inspired.

At the Learning Support Base on the third floor, you can easily get help and advice on your studies. It is located on the route to the classrooms, so it is easy to drop in between classes and get advice, which can help you gain new insights.
