Itoki's Head Office Receives the World's Top Level "Leesman®+ Excellent" Award for the Second Consecutive Year, Ranking 39th in the World

ITOKI DESIGN HOUSE TOKYO Headquarters Recognized as a "Highly Productive Office" with a Score Above Global Standards

Of the international index covering over 9,000 locations in 122 countries, only 54 locations from 23 companies have been certified worldwide (as of November 2025). ITOKI DESIGN HOUSE TOKYO recorded an even higher score than last year, at 80.0%, particularly in the survey item "I can work productively in my current office," and received a high evaluation in comparison with the global benchmark.

Leesman Survey Results: Highly rated as an office where people can work productively

In this year's survey, ITOKI DESIGN HOUSE TOKYO surpassed the global average in multiple indicators, demonstrating that the quality of its working experience is excellent at an international level. In particular, in the category "The current office allows me to work productively," the company achieved an 80.0% score, surpassing last year's in-house score of 75.9% and the global benchmark of 66.4%. This clearly demonstrates how the workplace is directly linked to employees' work performance.

Thanks to this continuous improvement in its score, ITOKI DESIGN HOUSE TOKYO was awarded "Leesman(R)+ Excellent" again this year, becoming the second consecutive year that a Japanese company has been certified.

Some of the findings from the "Leesman Survey"

Background to productivity evaluation: Three factors revealed by the analysis

Based on these results, Fujitsu conducted a detailed analysis based on the survey data from August 2025 to clarify the factors that contribute to perceived productivity. As a result, it was found that the following three elements showed a particularly high correlation:

1. An office where ABW (Activity Based Working) can be practiced
An office environment with a variety of spaces that allows office workers to choose the most productive working location according to their activities.

2. High-quality spatial design
A design based on years of work style research improves the office experience and comfort

3. Renovated conference room reservation system
Reduces bias and monopoly of usage, improving productivity

In particular, the third initiative, the renewal of the reservation system, is a major feature of this fiscal year and is considered a major factor in boosting employee work experience and productivity ratings.

Correlation between conference room booking systems and perceived productivity

Our company's conference room reservation system, "Reserve Any," which was fully implemented in fiscal 2025, features an automatic allocation function using an algorithm and a points system that applies knowledge of economics, naturally suppressing "uneven usage," "monopoly," and "sense of unfairness" that could not be solved with conventional conference room reservations.

By enabling employees to smoothly use the appropriate space when they need it, daily stress, which directly affects work comfort, has been reduced, and the conference room reservation system has shown a clear correlation with perceived productivity.

Results of the Leesman Survey conducted in August 2025 for Tokyo area bases

Benefits of implementation: Realizing an office operation model that maximizes value without increasing floor space

After the introduction of the conference room reservation system, the conference room utilization rate improved significantly from 69.9% to 85.0%, and the available meeting time increased by 121% compared to the previous year, despite the same number of resources. This result, which maximizes the value of space without adding floor space, demonstrates the establishment of a new operational model that increases office efficiency and fairness.

Employees have commented that work has become easier, with comments such as, "I no longer have to search for a place to hold a web conference," and "It's easier to find an empty seat, so it's easier to start working."

Contributing to human capital management: Improving job satisfaction and recruiting capabilities

Improving the work experience is also spreading to the realm of human capital management. The initiatives at ITOKI DESIGN HOUSE, which is deployed at our multiple locations, have contributed to improving job satisfaction and recruiting competitiveness, leading to increased corporate value, including improved engagement scores and an increase in the number of internship applications.

We will continue to utilize the knowledge we have gained from our own practices to contribute to the creation of richer working styles through services that support companies' human capital management.
