ITOKI CORPORATION (Head office: Chuo-ku, Tokyo, President: Koji Minato) released a cover exclusively for the popular work chair "vertebra03" on June 9th at the ITOKI official online store.

Covering is an option exclusively for vertebra03 (vertebra zero sun) manufactured using WHOLEGARMENT®. In order to further enhance the customizability that is a feature of vertebra03, it will be available in three types: ``backrest cover'', ``seat cover'', and ``cover for steel legs''.
In addition, the design lineup includes 2 colors with a border pattern and 4 colors with a cable pattern.
You can purchase it from ITOKI's official online shop. Each type is sold separately, so you can choose your favorite combination, such as unifying the design or making them all different designs.

What is vertebra03 (Vertebra Zero Sun)?

As an answer to the free work styles of the coming era, ITOKI has brought in product designer Fumie Shibata to create a new work chair. This chair features an advanced mechanism that achieves an appearance and comfort that fits in with the living room, something that could not be achieved with conventional office furniture, as well as customizability that can be selected to suit the user and the uniqueness of the space.

The covering takes advantage of the unique elasticity of knits and can be easily put on and taken off.
Additionally, it is washable (please check the quality label) and can be used for dining, etc.

If you purchase a cover ring, it will be shipped in the special original laundry bag shown below.

A maximum of 1 laundry bag is available per order.
Whether you purchase only the backrest cover or both the backrest cover and seat cover at the same time, only one laundry bag will be shipped with the purchased items in it.

This product is produced using a WHOLEGARMENT® flat knitting machine originally developed by Shima Seiki Seisakusho Co., Ltd.
Therefore, it is possible to minimize material loss and is a product that contributes to creating an environmentally friendly and sustainable society.

What is WHOLEGARMENT®?

Normal knit products are created by knitting each part separately and sewing them together. WHOLEGARMENT® is knitted three-dimensionally directly from the knitting machine without sewing the product together. It can be said to be an environmentally friendly production method as it does not require the production of separate parts and there is almost no loss of waste materials. In addition, completely new knit ideas can be realized, such as three-dimensional molding that requires advanced sewing skills, such as this chair cover, or complex items that are impossible to sew.
