GOOD DESIGN AWARD 2006
A total of four products developed by ITOKI have won the "GOOD DESIGN AWARD" and "GOOD DESIGN BEST 100" awards at the "2006 Good Design Awards" (sponsored by the Japan Design Promotion Organization, a public interest incorporated foundation).

Glass Partition X
Glass partitions that make up private rooms within an office. The connecting angle between the panels (165° to 195°) can be set as desired, allowing for the creation of freely curved walls. In R-shaped office buildings, etc., efficient and varied office spaces can be created. The panel structure is asymmetrical on the front and back, with the front side prioritizing the solidity and continuity of the glass, and the back side being shaped to ensure strength. As the glass is integrated with the frame, it is easy to install and rearrange. Furthermore, there is no need to change materials even if the connecting angle between panels is changed.

R-shaped office buildings have been a challenge for designs that need to keep costs down due to the competition for internal corridor space, but this partition has greatly increased the freedom of design. Even in normal square buildings, the fact that R-shaped spaces can be easily created inside is desirable because it not only adds novelty to the design but also gives a soft feel to the human space. It is possible to complete the interior construction using wooden frameworks, but considering the burden on the environment, a reusable aluminum and glass unit system is the right choice.
Multi Card Reader
With security issues being emphasized in many places, the entrance/exit management system is recognized as the most basic and important security measure, and there is a demand for systems that are highly reliable and convenient. The Card Entrance System MC is a simple and easy-to-understand entrance security system that allows you to open and close the door just by holding up an IC card.

It is desirable to realize a design that is simple and easy for anyone to use, allowing the door to be opened and closed by simply holding an IC card over the door. It is also desirable that the door be thin and small, so that it can be installed on any wall without looking out of place.

Inter Link
Aiming to create an office that can quickly and effectively respond to changes in the business world, Inter Link is a workstation that aims to operate a universal plan in the most efficient way possible. Various functions and items have been simplified as much as possible, and a design that is lean and free has been thoroughly pursued. It embodies the design concept of minimalism. It proposes a new office space configuration with a stylish form with a new feel that refines the functionality of an office desk to the utmost.

Work stations shared by multiple people are becoming more and more common in the workplace. The ideal is to be able to sit anywhere without legs getting in the way, and to be able to run wires freely and unsightly. This work station aimed to achieve the ultimate in simplicity, and has achieved that to a great extent. Although the large tabletop can be connected up to 9.6m long, it is thin and sharp at just 20mm thick. You can sense the spirit of the designers who were trying to implement a minimalist design philosophy.
