At the entrance to the organizer's planned "Shelter Simulation Experience," a working model of the multi-purpose disaster prevention shelter door "BOUNCEBACK" will be on display.
ITOKI CORPORATION (Headquarters: Chuo-ku, Tokyo; President and CEO: Koji Minato) will exhibit at "RISCON TOKYO 2026," Japan's largest comprehensive crisis management trade show, held at Tokyo Big Sight from Wednesday, September 30 to Friday, October 2, 2026, and will showcase a working model of its multi-purpose disaster prevention shelter door, "BOUNCEBACK."
The shelter will be displayed as the entrance to the organizer's "Simulated Shelter Experience" at the Crisis Management Industry Exhibition, allowing visitors to experience its structure and operability by actually operating the door. This will be the first time the actual unit has been exhibited at a trade show.
Multi-purpose disaster prevention shelter door "BOUNCEBACK"
In recent years, interest in shelters and evacuation facilities has been growing in Japan, not only due to the increasing frequency and scale of natural disasters, but also against the backdrop of a changing security environment. Local governments are promoting the development of evacuation facilities, and private companies are also considering their introduction, leading to increased attention on the equipment and technologies that make up underground facilities and shelters.
Leveraging its technology cultivated over half a century of supplying specialized doors to advanced medical and research facilities, Itoki developed the "BOUNCEBACK" multi-purpose disaster prevention shelter door in 2024. Equipped with impact resistance, airtightness, watertightness, and radiation shielding capabilities, this product is designed to protect lives and critical equipment from various threats, including natural disasters and emergencies.
Last year at the Crisis Management Industry Exhibition, we displayed panels in the shelter zone, but this time, we will be exhibiting a real unit at the entrance to the "Shelter Simulation Zone," which is a special area planned by the organizers. Visitors will be able to experience the functions and operation of the doors that make up shelter equipment by actually opening and closing them.
