Itoki to Relocate Its Shanghai Office in October to Strengthen Office Design Proposals in the Chinese Market
By integrating the office and showroom, we’ve created a hub for proposing new work styles where employees themselves put these approaches into practice.
ITOKI CORPORATION (Headquarters: Chuo-ku, Tokyo; President and CEO: Koji Minato) announces that it will relocate the business operations of Novo Workstyle Co., Ltd.(诺浩家具有限公司), a group company under its Chinese subsidiary ITOKI China Holding Co., Ltd. (Itoki (China) Investment Holding Co., Ltd.) that operates Workplace Business in Shanghai, and will open it as “ITOKI DESIGN HOUSE SHANGHAI” in mid-October 2026.
With the mission statement “Designing the WORK-Style of Tomorrow,” our company has recently expanded its business scope from a focus on the manufacture and sale of furniture to a solution-oriented Workplace Business that not only provides spatial design but also proposes high-value-added “ways of working” utilizing data and technology.
In the current Chinese office market, businesses focused on the manufacture and sale of furniture are the mainstream. Therefore, as a new initiative, we aim to expand into the Chinese market by introducing workstyle proposals based on spatial design—a concept that has been well-received in the Japanese market—with the goal of increasing demand.
With this relocation of our Shanghai office, we will integrate our previously separate office and showroom functions to strengthen our office design proposals in this new segment of the Chinese market. We aim to create a space where employees can put new ways of working into practice themselves, while allowing customers to experience Itoki’s workstyle proposals firsthand.
