Itoki will be exhibiting at the Japanese Society for Conservation and Restoration of Cultural Properties conference, held from June 6th (Sat) to 7th (Sun), showcasing its high-performance display case "Artivista," which beautifully enhances both the space and the artwork.
It combines excellent airtightness and design, and the industry's largest opening provides a safe and comfortable working environment for curators who require delicate work.
ITOKI CORPORATION (Headquarters: Chuo-ku, Tokyo; President and CEO: Koji Minato) will exhibit a booth at the 48th Annual Meeting of the Japanese Society for Conservation and Restoration of Cultural Properties, to be held at Yamagata Terrsa from June 6th (Sat) to 7th (Sun), 2026, and will introduce its high-performance display case, "Artivista".
The high-performance display case "Artivista" is designed for museums and art galleries, beautifully showcasing both the exhibition space and the exhibits while protecting and preserving art and craft items in an optimal environment. It combines high levels of "design," "presentation," and "exhibit protection" functions, while its minimalist appearance that blends seamlessly into the space and its large opening thanks to a unique mechanism ensure a safe and comfortable working environment for curators who require meticulous attention to detail.

Four features of the high-performance display case "Artivista"
1. High "design quality" that harmonizes with the exhibition space and works of art and crafts.
The highly transparent laminated glass is treated with an anti-reflective coating, ensuring that the inherent beauty of the artwork is not diminished. Furthermore, the lantern-style display case is almost entirely made of glass, resulting in a sharp design that highlights both the display space and the exhibited items.
2. "The art of presentation" that brings out the appeal of works of art and crafts.
By employing organic light-emitting diode (OLED) lighting (*1), it reproduces a soft, candle-like light that is difficult to achieve with conventional LEDs. It also suppresses glare and shadows cast on exhibits, enabling various lighting effects tailored to the exhibits and special exhibitions.
*1 Organic EL (OLED) lighting: A cutting-edge lighting source that emits light from thin glass panels. It does not contain ultraviolet or infrared rays, has a broad spectral wavelength, good color rendering (Ra93), and the light spreads widely and softly without creating harsh shadows on objects, making it suitable for lighting in museums and art galleries. It not only provides overall brightness as base lighting, but also beautifully illuminates exhibits as close-up display lighting for artworks.
3. Comfortable "operability" achieved through Japan's first technology.
Our lantern-style display cases utilize an aluminum extruded upper slide rail, a first in Japan (*2) developed by our company, and achieve a 90% opening while ensuring safety with a side-sliding front glass system. Our table-style display cases apply our unique technology and employ a glass hood lifting and closing system to achieve an opening of over 800mm.
This supports the safety and comfort of curators' delicate work, such as setting up, moving, and maintaining exhibits.
*2 As for "upper slide rails for display cases" among manufacturers in Japan (as of the end of July 2023 / based on our own research)
4. Protection of exhibits through humidity control, air purification, and seismic isolation.
The interior materials used minimize VOCs (volatile organic compounds). With excellent airtightness, humidity control, and air purification systems, it's possible to display, preserve, and manage art and craft items in an optimal environment. Furthermore, the laminated glass used incorporates an interlayer between two panes of glass, providing enhanced security, and thin seismic isolation bases are also available as an earthquake countermeasure.
*Humidity control devices, air purifiers, and slim seismic isolation bases are available as optional extras.
