Four products from Itoki have won the "Red Dot Design Award 2026," one of the world's three major design awards!

Four products received awards: SHIGA, BITMAP, Support Stool S, and Crossa WOOD.

SHIGA is a work chair that combines minimalist beauty, reliable functionality, and a modern design as furniture, responding to the needs of the new era of offices and work styles.

This minimalist design embodies Itoki's manufacturing philosophy, leveraging its technology and ergonomics. The wide variety of upholstery and frame options accommodates diverse office spaces, ensuring a comfortable work style.

BITMAP

BITMAP

[Summary of award-winning products]

This sofa is made up of blocks of different sizes connected by a single edge, creating a unique appearance. The top surface can be used as a simple table, armrest, backrest, or even as a seat. Although it is a single module, by combining and arranging the blocks in an intersecting pattern, it allows for communication in any direction, including parallel, face-to-face, and diagonal.

Support Stool S

The Support Stool S was developed to increase safety and productivity in hospitals. Based on the experience of its predecessor, which was used for over 20 years, it provides both physical and psychological support to nurses, enabling them to perform their duties accurately in cramped hospital environments. Furthermore, it incorporates the interior design required for modern medical spaces, providing a sense of security and motivation to patients and staff. It reduces human error, alleviates stress, and improves motivation, and is characterized by the combination of functionality and spatial value that only an office furniture manufacturer can offer.

Crossa WOOD

Crossa WOOD

[Summary of award-winning products]

This wooden chair, designed for work environments, boasts the silhouette of a dining chair while being foldable, self-standing, and nestable for storage. The back and seat are made of solid chestnut wood, a domestic hardwood. Chestnut wood is relatively light and strong compared to other woods, making it well-suited for furniture where mobility is required, resulting in a product weight of just 5.2 kg, making it easy to carry. Thanks to Karimoku Furniture's expertise, a beautiful finish has been applied that brings out the bright color of the chestnut wood, adding further richness to its timeless form.

About the Red Dot Design Award

Organized by the Design Zentrum Nordrhein Westfalen in Essen, Germany, this prestigious international award has been held since 1955. It is comprised of three disciplines: Product Design, Brands & Communication Design, and Design Concept. Focusing on designs commercialized within the past two years, entries are evaluated based on nine criteria, including innovation, functionality, ergonomics, ecology, and durability.
