ITOKI CORPORATION (Head office: Chuo-ku, Tokyo; President: Koji Minato) has published the "Personal Wellness Clinic MARUNOUCHI" case study, which was jointly designed with Hamada Akinori Architects, on January 30th on the design gallery site "ITOKI WORK-Style Design," which explains the company's cutting-edge spatial examples from a designer's perspective.

Expressing the advancedness of the clinic with “space”
Personal Wellness Clinic MARUNOUCHI is a membership clinic that opened in July 2023 targeting business people with the aim of improving their physical and mental condition and daily performance based on life data and medical checks. As this is an advanced facility that is different from regular clinics, we have set the concept of ``Space Odyssey - a wellness journey into space'' where you can feel vitality and the future.
Enhance immersion while considering functionality and comfort
When it comes to interior design, we place emphasis on separation from everyday life, placing emphasis on the entrance, which is the boundary between the inside and outside of the clinic. In addition, by running a line of light in a closed space, we provide the experience of entering the clinic as if you were traveling through a warp. In addition, in order to provide an impressive spatial experience and effectively support clinic activities, the interior material used is a rubber floor that resembles the topsoil of the planet, and it also functions as a stretching area.
A special experience enchanted by sound and light
In order to create a special experience that differs from everyday life, we kept in mind the production of a different space and considered non-visual information, creating an environment at the entrance that mixes metallic interiors with highly compatible inorganic sounds. The lobby, where members are always present, has a pleasant sound design with the addition of stringed instruments. In addition, the concept is emphasized through creative use of lighting, such as line-shaped lighting reminiscent of spaceships in science fiction and symbolic lights reminiscent of one large planet.
