ITOKI formulates new environmentally conscious product manufacturing standard "Eco Level" to stimulate sustainable activities
As part of the "ITOKI Ecosystem Initiative toward 2050 - Coexistence with Nature," we aim to achieve resource circulation throughout the entire life cycle.
ITOKI CORPORATION (headquarters: Chuo-ku, Tokyo; President: Koji Minato) has launched a special website on Tuesday, August 27, 2024, under the slogan "ITOKI Ecosystem Initiative toward 2050: Coexistence with Nature," centered on the three themes of "responding to climate change," "promoting resource circulation," and "utilizing sustainable materials," in order to contribute to the realization of a society with zero negative impact on the ecosystem.
At the same time, as one of the means to implement this theme, we have newly formulated and published "Eco Level," an environmentally friendly standard for product manufacturing. "Eco Level" sets out five guidelines that ITOKI values for environmental consideration, such as "reducing greenhouse gas emissions" and "producing with fewer materials/recycling." Based on these guidelines, we aim to achieve resource circulation throughout the entire life cycle by proactively developing environmentally friendly products.

ITOKI Sustainability
In the ESG strategy of its medium-term management plan "RISE TO GROWTH 2026," which starts in 2024, the Itoki Group has set out the "ITOKI Ecosystem Initiative toward 2050 - Coexistence with Nature," which aims to contribute to the realization of a society with zero negative impact on the ecosystem. We believe that the three themes of this initiative - "response to climate change," "promotion of resource circulation," and "use of sustainable materials" - are necessarily linked in some way, and we are promoting various business activities that contribute to Planet environmental conservation with these as our priority areas.
