ITOKI Establishes New Subsidy System for In-house Club and Circle Activities

Aiming to further improve engagement by revitalizing internal communication

ITOKI CORPORATION (Headquarters: Chuo-ku, Tokyo; President: Koji Minato) has established new regulations that stipulate activity requirements and a subsidy system to support voluntary club and circle activities among employees, and began implementing them on August 1, 2024. By promoting club and circle activities, we aim to stimulate communication within the company and improve engagement and corporate value.

background purpose

As the labor shortage accelerates due to factors such as a decline in the working population, we have set employee engagement scores as one of our key management indicators in addition to sales and operating profits, and have implemented measures such as strengthening internal communication. As a result, we have seen positive results, such as an increase of more than 10 points (compared to the previous year) in employees' "pride" and "attractiveness" toward the company in fiscal 2023. This time, by invigorating club and circle activities, we aim to revitalize communication within the company and further improve engagement.

Club and Circle Activity Subsidy System

Our employees have been independently organizing various clubs and circle activities at our company for some time, but some of these have been forced to stop or scale down their activities due to the COVID-19 pandemic. In addition, as we strengthen our recruitment of experienced and global employees, there are also many requests for interaction with employees from other departments. The purpose of establishing the new club and circle activity regulations is to stimulate communication within the company and improve corporate value through club activities, and to promote friendship between employees through circle activities. We aim to contribute to strengthening human capital from the perspective of DE&I (Diversity, Equity & Inclusion) by creating communication between employees of various ages, occupations, positions, nationalities and experiences through these activities.

Grant details

Club activities Up to 2 million yen per year will be paid for activities that meet the eligibility requirements.
Club Activities 3,000 yen per person per year will be paid to each individual member of a club for activities that meet the eligibility requirements.
