Itoki submits commitment letter to obtain SBT (Science Based Targets) certification

In July 2023, ITOKI CORPORATION (Headquarters: Chuo-ku, Tokyo; President: Koji Minato) submitted a commitment letter to the Science Based Targets (SBT) Initiative, an organization that certifies greenhouse gas reduction targets that are scientifically consistent with the goals set out in the Paris Agreement (※1).

  1. An international framework aimed at keeping the global average temperature rise well below 2°C above pre-industrial levels, with efforts to limit it to 1.5°C.
  2. SBT (Science Based Targets)

At ITOKI, we analyze the risks and opportunities brought about by the business environment in order to resolve the various issues surrounding WORK-Style and to make society and its people happy and the company and its employees happy. We have established materiality (important issues). By promoting business activities based on these materialities and solving social issues, we will lead to sustainable society and corporate growth.
One of our key themes is "contributing to a carbon-neutral society." In order to realize a carbon-neutral society in 2050, we will reduce CO₂ emissions across the scope by promoting the use of recycled raw materials, promoting recycling, developing environmentally friendly products, promoting energy saving and introducing renewable energy, and logistics that reduce environmental impact. We are working to reduce the amount.
