February 9th is “Study Desk Day” Itoki, the first company in Japan to release a steel study desk, marks the anniversary.
An opportunity to remember the “study desk” and think about life since spring.
ITOKI CORPORATION (Head office: Chuo-ku, Tokyo; President: Koji Minato) applied to have February 9th registered as "Study Desk Day," and was officially registered by the Japan Anniversary Association.
Reason for enactment on February 9th
Itoki first started selling study desks in Japan in 1962, and last year (2022) celebrated its 60th anniversary. February 9th was designated as "Study Desk Day" because it is a time to start preparing for a new life for the new year, and it is a play on the words 2 (tsu) and 9 (ku) for "desk". This is because we wanted everyone to become familiar with it. We hope that February 9th will be an opportunity for you and your family to remember your ``study desk'' and think about your life since spring.
About the logo mark
In conjunction with the registration of the anniversary of "Study Desk Day", we have established a logo mark. We hope that through this mark, more people will be interested in the "Study Desk."
