Bringing art to the workplace | Itoki makes “Art Place Co., Ltd.” a group company and starts art-related business

Providing new value to post-corona center offices

ITOKI CORPORATION (Head office: Chuo-ku, Tokyo; President: Yoshiro Hirai) has added Art Place Co., Ltd. to the ITOKI Group and has begun an art-related business.

ITOKI x ArtPlace

At a time when society is at a major turning point and traditional values are being shaken, there is a need for creative problem-solving through the free thinking of each individual. Under these circumstances, there are great expectations for the flexible and original approach of art as the key to opening the door to new value creation.

Art Place aims to ``create a place where people can maximize their creativity'' and ``create a place that provides intellectual and emotional stimulation to the office environment and alleviates psychological stress.'' We will create places that are humane and creative.

Itoki, which designs and provides office spaces, aims to promote the creation of an environment that contributes to increased productivity through synergies with Art Place, and to make working spaces more comfortable.

Why you need art in your office

Why you need art in your office

1. After/with the coronavirus era, the role of the office will change

With the increase in remote work and the shift to borderless offices, offices are playing an increasingly important role as a place for employees to gather and communicate. Art creates a sense of exclusivity and interaction that adds to its role in office spaces.

2. Art contributes to creating a sense of unity and improving productivity

By embodying a company's history and core values through art, we foster a sense of pride and belonging to the company and increase employee retention. Additionally, an attractive work environment can improve employee productivity.

3. Deepen employee understanding as a company aiming to realize SDGs

An artistic space questions one's sensibilities and fosters art thinking, which leads to a psychological and emotional understanding of the goals of the SDGs.

SDGs brought about by art

4 Quality education for everyone 8 Decent work and economic growth 12 Responsibility for production Responsibility for consumption

By drawing a vision for the future through the rich expression of art and creatively conveying the idea of SDGs, we will promote the social penetration of art. Through art, we will powerfully communicate the realization of a sustainable world, such as how to live a sustainable life, understanding and empathizing with the world's diversity, and creating an environment where everyone can work humanly and productively.
