ITOKI CORPORATION (Headquarters: Chuo-ku, Tokyo; President: Yoshiro Hirai) has won the iF Design Award 2021 (Product Category), the most prestigious design award in the world, for its "Wan" (One Chair). This is the company's second design award, following the Good Design Best 100 in 2020.

Wan (Wan Chair) is a meeting chair released in 2019 as a chair that combines a design that is easy to match with casual office spaces and a storage function that can be used for multipurpose spaces.

The curvaceous shape of the shell wraps around you, and the design is compact and comfortable. With a wide variety of materials and leg variations, you can choose a design that suits a variety of spaces. With the diversification of work styles requiring flexible office spaces, this chair meets the needs of the times by combining design, storage, and functionality.

This is a world-renowned design award that has been held since 1953 by Industrie Forum Design Hannover (iF), an international design promotion organization based in Hannover, Germany. Comprised of nine areas: product, packaging, communication, service design, architecture, interior/architecture, professional concept, user experience, and user interface, the award selects outstanding designs for industrial products from around the world every year.

This year, nearly 10,000 applications were received from 52 countries and regions, which were carefully judged by 98 internationally renowned design and architecture experts from 21 countries.

This is ITOKI's fifth award, following FLIP FLIP FLAP Chair, Sequa, Levi, and Lespas.
