At the "Kamakura Living Lab" site, residents came up with many ideas based on the theme of "teleworking," and there was a lively exchange of opinions from various angles, such as how to use the rooms in each home and the minimum space required for working. Taking the opportunity of the release of a new product that was born from this experience and was designed with the consumer in mind, a special website introducing the "Kamakura Living Lab" was opened.

About the foldable work desk "ONOFF" developed in collaboration with Kamakura Living Lab

ONOFF was born from an initiative by Kamakura Living Lab, a collaboration between Kamakura City Hall, the University of Tokyo, local residents, and ITOKI to solve social and local issues. It was developed to meet the needs of teleworkers, such as "wanting to switch between work and life on and off" and "wanting to work in seclusion."

Features of "ONOFF"
  1. The desk is designed to be easily switched between work time (ON) and everyday life (OFF) by opening and closing it.
  2. The desk can be easily pulled out, making it easy to switch to work mode, and when folded it fits into a space of approximately 240mm (the stabilizing plate is approximately 350mm), creating more living space.
  3. When you sit at your desk, the door acts as a wall, making it feel like your own small private room. Additionally, the door surface is just the right height to block your line of sight when sitting, so you can keep an eye on your children and family by stretching your back.

You can purchase it from the ITOKI online shop below.
