"i+", a collaborative brand between ITOKI CORPORATION (Head office: Joto-ku, Osaka City; President and CEO: Yoshiro Hirai) and Interoffice Corporation (Head office: Minato-ku, Tokyo; President and CEO: Naoki Terada), has won the 2017 Good Design Award and been selected as one of the Best 100. The selected product is a meeting furniture series that combines functionality and design for use in office conference rooms and meeting spaces. The highly designed chairs from overseas and the exterior quality that can be matched with cabinets, the design inspired by brass instruments, embodies the ultimate minimalism by encasing the functionality within the pipes. This is the second time the brand has been selected, following its selection as one of the Best 100 in the 2015 Good Design Award.

i+ is a brand established in January 2016 by ITOKI, which has continued to provide new value to the field of office furniture with its original and highly advanced product development capabilities, and Interoffice, which contributes to the comfort of office spaces in Japan by introducing excellent European office furniture, in agreement on the concept that customers desire a place to work where they can make full use of their space and experience a fulfilling environment.

The brand launch collection, produced and designed by Naoki Terada (architect and president of Interoffice), focused on interior accessories, which are important elements in creating an ideal and sophisticated office space, and featured three items: a whiteboard, a telephone stand, and a coat stand.

For the second new collection in January 2017, Yoko Ando (textile designer) and Izumi Okayasu (lighting designer) participated as collaborative designers in addition to Terada, and tables, partitions, and task lights were released, developing products that would create a comfortable office space.

The third new release, to be announced on Wednesday, January 24, 2018, will include six items in addition to the previous collections, including more versatile tables and coat hangers, table panels and ping-pong nets that will bring inspiration and playfulness to office spaces, and personal desks.

During the collection launch period, we will hold an opening reception, talk events, a ping-pong tournament and other events to provide opportunities for customers to learn about the new perspectives on office furniture design offered by i+, as well as information on current office spaces, and to introduce content that will allow customers to experience i+ in a variety of ways.
