ITOKI CORPORATION (Head office: Joto-ku, Osaka City; President and CEO: Matsui Tadashi; hereinafter "ITOKI") has concluded a sales contract for ICT (Information and Communications Technology) products developed and sold by ITOKI with Jointex Company (Company President/Managing Director: Asano Kimio; hereinafter "Jointex"), an in-house company of PLUS Corporation (Head office: Minato-ku, Tokyo; President and CEO: Imaizumi Koji) that operates a wholesale business of stationery, office furniture, and other products for the office and educational markets.

As the first step, from November 20, 2013, Jointex will begin selling ITOKI's "LAN Sheet" to companies, local governments, and schools through its 7,000 affiliated stationery retailers nationwide.

Itoki began selling "LAN Sheets" in 2008, providing them mainly in the Tokyo metropolitan area. However, with technological innovations in ICT devices and infrastructure, Wi-Fi (wireless LAN) environments have become widespread in everyday life and business, and new user needs are on the rise.

Therefore, Itoki has come up with this partnership with the aim of developing new customers through the sales channels of Jointex's affiliated stationery retailers nationwide, which target small and medium-sized enterprises, government offices, schools, etc. in each region. This is the first time that Itoki and PLUS have teamed up to sell products.

Jointex is expanding its core businesses of “Smart office” "Smart School," which are delivery services with dedicated sales support for catalog mail order sales, while also strengthening its unique services that help resolve business issues faced by client companies and government agencies and improve office productivity. With the launch of the ITOKI "LAN Sheet," it is promoting the simplicity of being able to access the network simply by setting it on a table and placing a Wireless LAN-compatible computer or other device on the sheet, as well as the fact that it provides more stable communication than Wireless LAN because "radio waves are confined to the sheet without being transmitted," and the security that prevents information leaks due to outside intrusion. Jointex and stationery retailers will work together to support customers in building their IT environments.

This is a two-dimensional LAN system that connects to the network just by placing it on the sheet. It will be released in July 2008, and the selling price is open.
