vertebra03 WOOD

vertebra03 WOOD combines the warmth of wood with ITOKI's unique ergonomics. The back and seat are cut and shaped from solid chestnut wood, a domestic hardwood, by Karimoku Furniture. The company's know-how in making wooden furniture and ITOKI's design technology utilizing ergonomics and seat tracers have made it possible to create an optimal back and seat shape that follows the working posture while making the most of the texture of the wood. Other features include a non-slip seating surface to stabilize the seating position and painting technology that expresses delicate coloring while leaving the wood grain intact.

With the rise of hybrid work, there is a demand for furniture suitable for both home and office. This chair offers beautiful design and comfortable seating that stimulates creativity and creates an efficient workspace that supports daily work. The backrest and seat move in accordance with the movement of the body, relieving fatigue. Compared to general wooden chairs, this chair is gentle on the body and equipped with a unique mechanism suitable for long hours of continuous work, achieving both beautiful appearance and excellent functionality.

Evaluation Comments from the “Good Design” Committee

With the spread of hybrid work, work styles are becoming more individual and diverse, and it is becoming necessary to reserve not only conference rooms but also desks, tables, booths, etc. However, conventional reservation systems require wiring and power sources, making installation complicated and costly to expand. Therefore, this product uses a small, completely wireless device that is easy to install and expand. In addition, by visualizing usage status in real time, it prevents problems such as the next user being unable to use the space if the reserved time is exceeded, and enables smooth selection and use of workspaces without incurring extra costs.

Orgatec Tokyo ITOKI Booth

The ITOKI exhibition booth at ORGATEC TOKYO displayed ITOKI and five other global furniture brands under the concept of "&ITOKI" as a solution to the evolution of the workplace, which supports diverse working styles regardless of location or style.

This exhibition space intuitively conveys the company's stance as an office furniture manufacturer and "platform provider of designer office furniture," which is to "deliver free and beautiful choices and new working comfort to the world of the workplace through an extensive product lineup and spatial proposals that transcend brands."

The design theme is a reference to the "relationship between solids and gas." The pipe curtain, which covers the entire space and is inspired by fog and clouds, embodies the comprehensive image of a platform that connects brands by likening it to gas. The pipe curtain is made of approximately 3,000 PVC pipes that can be recycled and reshaped.

Evaluation Comments from the “Good Design” Committee

The ITOKI booth at ORGATEC TOKYO, Japan's largest office furniture exhibition, proposes a new vision for office space and work styles. Under the theme of "&ITOKI," ITOKI and five global furniture brands will exhibit evolving workplace solutions that support diverse and free work styles. The overall design of the booth intuitively conveys to visitors ITOKI's corporate stance as an office furniture manufacturer and "design office furniture platformer": "We deliver free and beautiful choices and new working comfort to the world of the workplace with a wide range of products and spatial solutions that go beyond the boundaries of brands."
