ITOKI CORPORATION (Headquarters: Chuo-ku, Tokyo; President: Koji Minato) will release the Act2, an evolved model of the popular task chair series Act chairs, for corporate and individual use on June 4, 2025.
In response to diversifying work styles and lifestyles, Act chairs 's popular comfort and support have been further improved. It has been updated to accommodate the diverse postures and movements of workers, with features such as the new, breathable "Respitec seat" material, and ergonomically designed adjustable head support and pelvis and lumbar support.

Act chairs is a task chair that flexibly supports the movement of the upper body. With a side frameless design and a pivot structure on the back support, it flexibly follows the posture of the upper body and comfortably supports any posture, from concentrated work to refreshing. In addition, the slide function allows you to adjust the seat depth to suit your body type, and the 4D link arm allows you to adjust the armrests with one action, providing ideal seating comfort for each individual body type and work style. It is easy to match with the interior of not only the office but also the home, making it suitable for working from home.

Itoki's newly developed "Respitec" is a new seat structure that combines ergonomic comfort with environmental compatibility. The breathable and cushioned layer structure solves the issues of stuffiness and wear that are common with urethane materials used in conventional office chairs. The surface touch layer is made of soft polyester vertical nonwoven fabric, and the lower cushion layer is made of a three-layer soft elastomer three-dimensional mesh fiber structure. This two-layer structure provides high body pressure dispersion, breathability, and durability. Respitec pursues a new level of comfort that lasts.
*The touch layer is made of "Fibre Cushion VL (Teijin Frontier Co., Ltd.)" and the cushion layer is made of the three-dimensional mesh fiber structure "Breath Air® (Toyobo MC Co., Ltd.)."

"Respitec" is a coined word that combines Respiration and Technology, and was developed with the concept of a "breathing seat." Compared to urethane seats, it is less likely to get stuffy even when sitting for long periods of time, and it will not wear out even after long periods of use, so you can continue to sit comfortably.

In addition, both the texture and cushion layers are made of thermoplastic resin, making it possible to recycle materials that were not possible with conventional urethane.

Based on ergonomic knowledge and human body size data, we have newly equipped the "adjustable head support" that can accommodate a wide range of body types and postures. The three-dimensional surface shape is designed to follow the natural curve of the cervical vertebrae (neck bones), gently supporting the head and providing a comfortable fit.
The height can be adjusted up and down by 60mm and forward and backward by 33mm (30 degrees), allowing for flexible adjustment to accommodate differences in body size and changes in posture when rocking. Even when rocking backwards, your eyes can be naturally directed forward. This provides stable head support and comfortable posture support, not only during long hours of PC work, but also when relaxing in a backward position.

The shape and function of the lumbar support has been revamped to provide precise support for the lower back, which is essential for good posture. Designed based on human body measurements, it uses a flexible frame that provides firm support for the lumbar spine (third lumbar vertebra) and pelvis (sacrum).
The upper lumbar pad has a flexible shape that fits the S-shaped curve of the lumbar spine and individual differences in body type, while the lower pelvis pad serves to firmly raise the pelvis and stabilize posture.
In addition, the flexible structure allows it to bend left and right, following the posture and movement of the person sitting. It effectively distributes pressure on the lower back even when sitting for long periods of time, helping to maintain a comfortable sitting experience and natural posture.

The standard color lineup includes a new dark gray body color that blends in with chic color schemes and dark wood-colored spaces. The back cover has a matte finish, and the levers and covers are unified in the same color to create a high-quality, calm presence. The design blends naturally into the space while still giving off a sophisticated impression.
