ITOKI CORPORATION (Headquarters: Chuo-ku, Tokyo; President and CEO: Koji Minato) is launching a new learning furniture series, "Cretta," that "continues to adapt to the lifestyle and growth of children," from preschoolers to adults. Pre-orders will begin on December 15, 2025. In response to the growing trend toward simple and compact furniture, this combination learning furniture series allows users to freely combine desks, storage, and tabletop colors, adapting to different stages of development and lifestyles. The aim was for this product to be a long-lasting companion, from creating a children's space for preschoolers to learning and working environments for students and adults.

In recent years, children's learning has expanded from their rooms to the entire home, with various learning methods within the home, such as tablet learning and learning in the living room. Meanwhile, light, Scandinavian and modern interiors have become mainstream in homes, and simple furniture that blends in with the space is now being chosen.
However, furniture for preschoolers often only lasts for a limited time, and parents are often troubled by the problem that even though they buy it, it soon becomes unusable.
With this social background in mind, ITOKI proposes new value in the form of furniture that can be started small and continued to be used without replacement as the child grows.
Cretta was developed as a series of "growth-friendly" combination learning furniture that naturally adapts to the lifestyle and growth of children, from preschool children's spaces to learning spaces and adult workspaces.

Cretta is a combination series that allows you to freely choose desk sizes, tabletop colors, and storage items. By choosing only the items you need to suit your lifestyle and family composition, you can create a space that suits a variety of lifestyles and is uniquely yours. Also, by using the same series, the entire space will have a cohesive look.

Kids' desks for preschoolers are designed to be used in different ways depending on their life stage, such as being reshaped and used as a storage rack as they grow. Storage items can be added as needed, so it can flexibly accommodate the increasing number of possessions as children get older, allowing you to effortlessly create the optimal environment.

For students and adults, it has functionality that can be used in a variety of ways, such as a wide tabletop, the ability to attach a monitor arm, and organizing cables.

The Cretta series desks have a simple and light design characterized by a "clean, square silhouette" created by the L-shaped legs when viewed from the side. The neat shape, free of unnecessary decoration, blends naturally into both living rooms and children's rooms without overwhelming the space. It is compatible with Scandinavian and modern interiors, and we aimed for a timeless appearance that can be used for a long time, even after the child grows up.

The tabletop is available in four colors: natural oak veneer and three colors of linoleum, an environmentally friendly material made primarily from linseed oil. Oak is highly durable and scratch-resistant, while its delicate and beautiful grain blends naturally into any room. Linoleum tabletops are antibacterial, durable, and have a soft, smooth feel. You can choose a texture that you can love for a long time to suit your preferences and the atmosphere of your space.

Despite its simple and lightweight design, Cretta meets ITOKI's strict quality standards and is built to be stable with minimal lateral shaking.
The desk comes with two hooks for hanging things like shopping bags, hats, and backpacks. It also comes standard with a cable tray for organizing power strips and routers. These can be attached anywhere you like, on the back or side, and are packed with attention to ease of use to make your daily learning and work smoother.

The name of the series "Cretta" was chosen based on the concept of learning furniture that accompanies children as they grow, and is inspired by the Italian word "crescere" (to grow).
A distinctive feature of the design is the gradual increase in size of the letter "t," which symbolizes the steady growth of the user and a future in which the furniture will remain close to the user for a long time.

"ZA SALON TOKYO" is a showroom that focuses on office chairs.
We will be holding a special exhibition of "Cretta" from Friday, December 19th (scheduled to run until around March).
Free tours are available every Friday from 1:00 PM to 5:00 PM, no reservations required.
