Itoki exhibits at SEKISHO JOB FAIR 2025, a company information session and interview event held at Hanoi University of Science and Technology in Vietnam, for the fourth consecutive year

Interviews with 53 advanced science students, including those in software design and development, engineering, and AI, to promote the recruitment and expertise of technical talent

ITOKI CORPORATION (Head office: Chuo-ku, Tokyo; President and CEO: Koji Minato) exhibited at the SEKISHO JOB FAIR 2025, a company information session and interview event held at Hanoi University of Science and Technology in Vietnam in November 2025. This was the fourth consecutive year that the company has exhibited since its first appearance in 2022.

In order to strengthen our recruitment of highly skilled science and engineering personnel globally, we are working to systematically and continuously recruit foreign technical personnel through industry-academia collaboration with Hanoi University of Science and Technology.

This year marked our fourth year of participation in this exhibition, and many students, mainly from science and engineering majors, visited our booth. As part of our recruitment activities for technical personnel scheduled to join the company in 2026 and 2027, we provided them with meaningful opportunities for interaction and interviews.

Exhibition overview/purpose

In response to the rapid diversification and digitalization of work styles, Itoki has positioned the recruitment and strengthening of training for highly specialized human resources who can thrive in cutting-edge fields such as AI and mechanical engineering as one of the most important issues in its human resources strategy.

Starting in 2023, we will begin full-scale recruitment of foreign talent, primarily in the science and engineering fields, and have concluded an industry-academia collaboration agreement with Hanoi University of Science and Technology in Vietnam. We are promoting continuous personnel exchanges through job fairs and joint internships.
Furthermore, in 2024, we signed a partnership agreement with Shiga Prefecture, and strengthened our support system for settling into employment, including providing living environments and lifestyle support, in cooperation with the local community.

As a result of these efforts, 24 graduates from Hanoi University of Technology (2 in 2023, 4 in 2024, and 18 in 2025) have joined our company and are currently utilizing their expertise in the field.

In its ongoing medium-term management plan (2024-2026), the company will further accelerate efforts to acquire highly specialized personnel and support their active participation, centered on the three pillars of "Professional," "Retention," and "Pay for Performance."

Our participation in this job fair is also part of this effort, and we aim to strengthen our mid- to long-term technological foundation in areas such as product development and production technology by meeting highly skilled science and engineering talent who can thrive in cutting-edge fields such as AI and mechanical engineering.

Once again, this was an important opportunity to promote understanding of our company's business and technical fields through real dialogue and individual interviews with local students, leading to future employment opportunities.

What happened on the day

Many students visited the Hanoi University of Science and Technology campus where the event was held, and many also visited our booth, including students majoring in science and engineering as well as those studying cutting-edge fields such as AI. Of these, we held individual interviews with 53 students to deepen their understanding of job types, career paths, and working styles.

This year's exhibition attracted many visitors, mainly students majoring in engineering and mechatronics, to the job listings, which focused on facility equipment software design and development, engineering, and design supervision positions in the Engineering Headquarters. Lively discussions were held throughout the day at the booth between students who were interested in the work content and career paths of each position.

Some of the participants were seen asking specific questions about how their expertise could be utilized in their work, making it a meaningful opportunity for communication that looks to the future for both parties.

The booth was staffed not only by recruiters but also by graduates of Hanoi University of Technology who are currently working at Itoki. In addition to providing interpretation support, they shared their own career experiences and real-life anecdotes about life in Japan, providing a venue for students to get a concrete and familiar image of their careers.

With a track record of exhibiting and hiring over the past three years, the company has steadily gained recognition and trust among local students. In addition to positive comments such as "I want to work in Japan" and "I want to contribute to manufacturing," we also received many ambitious comments such as "I want to use AI technology to help solve social issues."

Future recruitment plans

We plan to continue global recruitment activities, including hiring international students and local hires, for technical positions to join the company in 2026 and 2027. At this job fair, many students expressed interest in participating in an internship program in Japan, and we plan to have them participate in the program after a selection process.

This internship will provide participants with opportunities for hands-on experience during their stay in Japan for approximately one month, at ITOKI DESIGN HOUSE TOKYO, the company's head office in Nihonbashi, Tokyo, and at the Shiga Factory in Omihachiman, Shiga Prefecture, the company's core manufacturing base and potential future workplace. In addition to being able to experience product development and production firsthand, the program will also include a chance to experience life in the local area in collaboration with Shiga Prefecture, helping participants adapt to Japanese society before joining the company.

"ITOKI STORY" introduces the achievements of employees who graduated from Hanoi University of Science and Technology

We already have technical staff who graduated from Hanoi University of Science and Technology working in various fields. We are introducing this on our owned media, "ITOKI STORY."

ITOKI STORY | My encounter with SAS-R changed everything. A global designer growing beyond cultures

This article introduces an employee of the Shiga Plant's control design team, who is in charge of designing the electrical control circuits for the SAS-R shuttle-type automated warehouse system. The article tells us how he has steadily built his career on the job while continuing to hone his expertise since coming to Japan.

Going forward, we will continue to utilize the capabilities of foreign human resources to strengthen our technological foundation and evolve our manufacturing process under a consistent system that covers recruitment, training, and retention.
