ITOKI releases a video showing the delivery of its futuristic high-speed picking device, "Systema Streamer SAS"
Streamlined storage and management of blood samples
ITOKI CORPORATION (Head office: Chuo-ku, Tokyo; President: Koji Minato) has released a video on its official YouTube channel showing a case study of the delivery of its futuristic high-speed picking device, "Systema Streamer SAS."
Features of the delivered futuristic high-speed picking device "Systema Streamer SAS"
1. Complete security with an automated warehouse system
In the sample storage area, entry and exit is strictly controlled and access to the storage vault is recorded. The fully automated SAS operates in a facility where people cannot easily enter, ensuring complete security.
2. Document storage and stable operation at low temperatures
Even in a small space, a large number of specimens can be stored three-dimensionally in a paper storage system, realizing efficient space utilization. The specimen storage area is refrigerated, and stable operation is possible even at low temperatures. In addition, specimens that need to be retrieved frequently are stored in SAS (early storage), while specimens that are retrieved relatively infrequently are stored in SAT (late storage)*, maximizing the speed of storage and retrieval.
*SAT: An automated warehouse that specializes in higher density storage
3. Disaster prevention measures
In preparation for disasters such as floods and earthquakes, the storage area is located on the second floor. In the unlikely event of an emergency, samples can be safely removed by hand. This strengthens BCP measures.
Logistics Flow
After testing, samples are stored in the cold bench area. After that, samples are stored in SAS for short periods of 0-1 week, and SAT for 1-4 weeks, and are sent out or re-stored as necessary. After the appropriate storage period, samples are discharged based on management information.
SAS combines efficient storage, fast loading and unloading, and safety in case of disasters. We can flexibly respond to the required environment, making storage and management safe and smooth.
About Systema Streamer SAS (Shuttle Cart Type Automated Warehouse System)
High-speed buffer equipment contributes to solving various issues such as speeding up, energy saving, and manpower saving in logistics sites. With ultra-high speed storage and retrieval processing, it is used in various processes such as sorting, loading, and picking.
About Systematically Retrieved SAT (Bucket-type Automated Warehouse)
A bucket-type high-speed automated warehouse boasts outstanding storage capacity, using ITOKI's unique side-picking method (PAT.).
*Side picking method: Removal by hooking onto the side rib of the container
