Utilizing in-house newsletter content to contribute to improving employee engagement
ITOKI CORPORATION (Headquarters: Chuo-ku, Tokyo; President: Koji Minato) announced that its advertisement "The Face of ITOKI," which was published in the morning edition of the Nihon Keizai Shimbun and other newspapers for five consecutive days from Monday, December 18, 2024 to Friday, December 22, 2024, won the silver award in the newspaper category of the 45th 2024 Japan BtoB Advertising Awards, sponsored by the Japan BtoB Advertising Association.
■ Focus on enthusiasm and passion for work to improve employee engagement
Along with sales and operating profit, our company regards employee engagement as one of its important management indicators, and has implemented various measures such as strengthening internal communication. In last year's internal survey, the company recorded a score of more than 10 points higher than the previous year, which has also contributed to a significant recovery in performance in the medium-term management plan for 2021-2023.
The winning ad focuses on the professional "human resources" working in various fields in order to further increase employee engagement. Rather than focusing on "products" or "services," the ad aims to convey the company's culture and increase employee motivation by expressing the employees' passion and feelings toward their work in an impactful creative manner. A QR code installed in the ad leads to a special website where detailed stories can be viewed, and the ad is designed to convey the appeal of the company in conjunction with the recruitment website.

■ Use company newsletters for content
The episodes used in the advertisement were excerpts from the content of the "Faces of Itoki" section of the company newsletter. Our company produces about two articles a week focusing on individuals, which not only deepens understanding of individuals, teams, and departments, but also serves as an opportunity for communication.
This advertisement, which is an extension of the company's internal communication initiatives, has received positive feedback not only from within the company, but also from employees' families and acquaintances, business partners, and residents in the areas where the company is based, contributing to further improving employee engagement.
