ITOKI CORPORATION (headquarters: Chuo-ku, Tokyo; President: Koji Minato) announced that its engagement score, a key management indicator, reached a record high of 82.5% this year.
All four key KPIs hit new highs
In addition to sales, operating profit, and ROE, we have set employee engagement score (pride in the company) as one of our important management indicators, and we conduct a survey of employees every year. The results for fiscal 2024 increased 7.8% from last year to a record high of 82.5%. In addition, the main KPIs for the attractiveness of our company, job satisfaction, and hopes for the company's future all increased by more than 5% from last year, reaching record highs.
Invest 10 billion yen over the three-year period from 2024 to 2026
In our medium-term management plan for 2024 to 2026, we plan to invest 10 billion yen in human capital. By strategically implementing "working environment investments" such as renovating our head office, R&D centers, and production bases, "education investments" such as capacity development and reskilling, and "engagement investments" such as strengthening internal communication, we will increase employee engagement in the medium to long term and lead to corporate growth.

Main Initiatives
・Office investment contributes to human capital management
We consider investment in offices to be part of our human capital investment, and we carry out large-scale renovations of our Nihonbashi headquarters office about once a year. By providing employees with a comfortable working environment, we have seen a 44% increase in not only engagement scores but also in perceived productivity (*1). Furthermore, we have also seen a positive impact on recruitment, with internship application rates increasing by 40% (*2) and experienced hire acceptance rates increasing by 10% (*3).

・Double the education and training costs per person
Starting in 2022, we will reduce the number of compulsory training courses and introduce selective training, hierarchical training, and age-specific career design training that employees can participate in based on their own skills and career plans. In fiscal 2023, we will approximately double the education and training expenses per employee (compared to fiscal 2021) and increase the number of training sessions by 1.6 times (compared to the previous year) to promote employee skill improvement, including reskilling.
・Strengthening internal communication
The digital in-house newsletter mainly features articles that focus on employees. It has about 15 sections, such as "Faces of ITOKI," which highlights people who take their work seriously and interact with people inside and outside the company, and "Key Points of the Fan," which introduces professionals who support the manufacturing site. This not only deepens understanding of individuals, teams, and departments, but also serves as an opportunity for communication. In addition, we actively support the holding of real events and volunteer community activities, and aim to strengthen communication with a hybrid approach that fosters a sense of camaraderie while creating opportunities for growth.
