The average number of days at work is over 4 days a week! The results indicate that people are returning to work.

As for their work style, 48.7% of them work from home, while the percentage of people who wish to work from home exceeded that number at 52.6%. In addition, the average number of days at work is 4 or more days a week, both in reality and desire, indicating the actual situation and intention of returning to the office even though employees wish to work from home.

Increased awareness of internal communication issues as telecommuting becomes established

Regarding the issues faced by office managers when working from home, ``human resources development'' was the highest at 29.1%, followed by ``labor/attendance management'' at 25.0%, and ``difficulty communicating with employees'' at 23.9%. have become. With hybrid work now the mainstream in many companies, there is an urgent need to improve communication between employees.

More than half of large companies have completed or plan to renovate their offices.

Regarding the implementation status of office renewal, 28.5% of large companies (companies with 1,000 or more employees) said they had ``renovated'' and 24.8% said they were ``planning to renovate,'' for a total of 53.3%. The spread of hybrid work and the return to the office show that there is a strong desire to renovate offices.

The main target of the renewal is a meeting space tailored to the use of hybrid work.

When asked about the areas that were added as a result of office renovations, 48.0% of companies chose "web conference space," with roughly half of the companies having already added or planning to add more. Meanwhile, when asked about the areas that were reduced, 19.8% chose "individual assigned seats," followed by 11.9% for "large conference rooms." With the spread of work styles that combine in-office and remote work, this suggests that there is a demand for flexible and efficient office functions.

The reductions will mainly be targeted at "individual assigned seats" and "large conference rooms"

Regarding requests for office functions, general workers expect support for "individual work/refreshment," while office managers place emphasis on "communication."

Regarding the functions that general workers expect from their offices, "concentration work space (for one person)" was the highest at 15.0%, followed by "refreshment space" at 13.8%. In particular, "refresh space" is the only item that general workers rank higher than office managers. On the other hand, when it comes to spaces that office managers would like to expand in the future, 22.7% said "web conference space (2 to less than 6 people)" and 19.6% said "meeting space (2 or more people to less than 6 people)". The result is that the space for the two parties is high, indicating that there is a gap in the awareness of the two parties.

Regarding requests for office functions, general workers expect support for "individual work/refreshment"

This gap in awareness is also revealed in the results of a survey on what people want to do when they come to the office. The results are higher for employees.

General workers were more likely to answer ``I work alone and concentrate'' and ``I refresh myself'' than those in office management.

From the above results, it can be seen that while general workers view the office on an individual basis, office managers view the office on a team or company basis, such as by developing human resources and solving internal communication issues. We believe that it is important for both parties to understand each other when considering future offices.
