Launch of Japan's first J-Credit marketplace led by the private sector!
You can now purchase J-Credit online more easily. Online seminars will also be held.
ITOKI CORPORATION (headquarters: Chuo-ku, Tokyo; President and CEO: Koji Minato), in collaboration with e-dash Corporation (headquarters: Chiyoda-ku, Tokyo; President and CEO: Fuuma Yamazaki), which provides the cloud service "e-dash" for visualizing CO2 emissions, is pleased to announce that it has begun selling J-Credits (Note 2) on the carbon credit (Note 1) marketplace "e-dash Carbon Offset" from Tuesday, May 30, 2023.
- Carbon offset: A mechanism to compensate for greenhouse gases (GHG) such as carbon dioxide emitted by companies and organizations from their daily activities.
- J-Credit System: A system in which the country certifies as credits the amount of CO2 and other emissions reduced through the introduction of energy-saving equipment and the use of renewable energy, and the amount of CO2 and other emissions absorbed through appropriate forest management (from the Ministry of Economy, Trade and Industry website)
Itoki participated in the carbon footprint system pilot project in 2010. The following year, in 2011, we started the carbon offset business and have continued to provide services as a J-Credit provider.
This time, "e-dash Carbon Offset" has started online sales of J-Credit, which is Japan's first initiative led by the private sector. Based on the know-how gained through Itoki's many years of efforts, we have created a method for displaying the information necessary for purchase, and by providing a stable supply of J-Credit, we have created a service that makes purchasing easier.
You can now purchase J-Credit in the amount you need at any time in one place, and we will respond to various requests such as J-Credit transfer processing and invalidation processing.
