Itoki publishes “Integrated Report 2022” with updated materiality

Announced carbon neutrality goal for 2050 and accelerated sustainability management. ESG DATA BOOK 2022 will also be published at the same time

ITOKI CORPORATION (Headquarters: Chuo-ku, Tokyo; President: Koji Minato) has published the "ITOKI Integrated Report 2022" and made it available on its official website. In order to realize sustainability management, the company has updated its materiality (important issues) as a change and evolution that will strengthen its progress, and has announced a carbon neutral goal by 2050 (*1) toward decarbonization. In addition, the website has newly published the "ESG DATA BOOK 2022," which provides detailed numerical data on the achievements of sustainability management.

This report provides an overview of the value creation process, the progress of the medium-term management plan "RISE ITOKI 2023" that started in fiscal 2021, and strategies for each business, as well as the initiatives aimed at realizing a sustainable society. It is comprehensively summarized and published from the perspectives of S (society) and G (governance). Additionally, the amount of information in both financial and non-financial areas has been significantly increased since the first "Integrated Report" published by the Company in 2021, and the content provides a deeper understanding of the Company's business activities.

■Announcement of 2050 carbon neutral goal

We have set and announced a goal to reduce Scope 1 and 2 (*2) CO2 emissions to carbon net zero by 2050. As a milestone, we have set a 2030 target of 50% reduction in Scope 1 and 2, and 30% reduction in Scope 1 to 3 (*2) (both compared to 2013). Furthermore, as much of our group's CO2 emissions come from Scope 3 (*2) category 1 "Purchased products and services," we will continue to refine our aggregation and build further collaborative systems with our suppliers. We will continue our efforts to reduce CO2 emissions.
