ITOKI CORPORATION (Headquarters: Chuo-ku, Tokyo; President: Yoshiro Hirai) has won the Good Design Best 100 award at the 2020 Good Design Awards (sponsored by the Japan Design Promotion Organization). This brings the total number of awards won by ITOKI to six, including two Good Design Best 100 awards and four Good Design Awards.

This one chair is a shell-shaped nesting chair (foldable chair) that has established a new style while maintaining functionality and efficiency in the office as work styles become more diverse and casual. Conventional nesting chairs were often designed with the beauty of folding structure and storage efficiency in mind, but this product's feature is a mechanism that allows the shell to flip up. Although it takes up a lot of space, the idea of an unprecedented reversal is itself wonderful, and the gentle and charming form when nested creates a unique atmosphere. Because the hinge is equipped with a magnet, the mechanism works smoothly and invites people to move. Every detail has been smartly designed with such ideas, making working a more enjoyable experience.

The Wan has a shape that hugs your body, creating a relaxed and comfortable sitting experience. It can be laid out comfortably not only in traditional office spaces but also in more casual spaces. In addition, it comes with casters for easy movement, and when the chair is not in use, it can be flipped up and stored horizontally (nesting), allowing for flexible use of the space for meetings, seminars, solo work, buffet parties, etc. can.
