First in the industry to be recognized for four consecutive years as a Healthy Business Enterprise 2020 (Large Enterprise Category (White 500))

ITOKI CORPORATION (Head office: Chuo-ku, Tokyo; President: Yoshiro Hirai) has been certified as a "2020 Health and Productivity Management Excellent Corporation (Large Corporation Category (White 500))" jointly selected by the Ministry of Economy, Trade and Industry and the Nippon Kenko Kaigi. This is the first time that a company operating in the office furniture business has been certified four years in a row.

ITOKI considers the physical and mental health of its employees to be an important management issue, and in order to further promote strategic health management, it established the Health Management Declaration in February 2017. In order to further accelerate activities related to employee health, we established the Health Management Promotion Committee, a cross-organizational organization comprised of in-house departments in charge of health. We continue to carry out various activities and initiatives to help employees work in a healthier manner.

Additionally, in XORK 2019, the new headquarters office “ITOKI TOKYO XORK WELL Building Standard™* Gold (interior) certification has been obtained. Through a tour of our working showroom, XORK, we are working to promote the health of society as a whole by informing customers about ITOKI's initiatives and the effectiveness and importance of our health initiatives.

Having been certified as a 2020 Health and Productivity Management Excellent Corporation (White 500) for the fourth consecutive year, we will continue to further improve the health of each employee while, as a health-promoting company, proposing workplaces where our customers can work in a healthy manner and aiming to realize a society in which workers can work in a healthy manner.

*What is the WELL Building Standard™?

WELL Building Standard™ is the world's first building and indoor environment that focuses on the health and comfort of people living and working in buildings, created based on seven years of rigorous research and development by the International WELL Building Institute. It's a rating system. As a standard for objectively evaluating buildings that are comfortable, safe, and healthy for people, a major feature is that they are verified not only from an environmental engineering perspective but also from a medical perspective.
