ITOKI CORPORATION (Headquarters: Chuo-ku, Tokyo; President: Yoshiro Hirai)'s "levi" (Levi Chair) has won the highest award, Gold, at the German Design Award 2020 (Germany), one of the most prestigious international design awards. This marks the company's third award, following the HiP Awards 2019 at NeoCon (USA) and the Good Design Award 2019 (Japan).

Levi is a completely complete office chair.
While the design appears rather simple at first glance, the aluminium frame and armrests give it a very elegant and high-quality impression. The back and seat cushions are wonderfully comfortable, and the intelligently designed mechanism ensures uncompromising seating comfort and allows for a variety of working postures without the typical adjustment options. This is an internationally prestigious design award organized by the German Design Council, which was established by the German Bundestag. To be nominated (a candidate for the award), a design must have won a design award from a country around the world, and only those recommended by the German Design Council can be nominated. For this reason, just being nominated is an honor, and the award is so prestigious that it is described as the "award of awards." The award consists of four awards in each category: Gold/Grand Prize, Winner/Excellent Prize, Special Mention/Special Prize, and Nominee/Nominee.

This time, over 5,000 products and projects were entered, from which 71 were selected as "Gold/Grand Prize winners," demonstrating the extremely high recognition of Levi's design.
