ITOKI CORPORATION (Head office: Chuo-ku, Tokyo; President: Yoshiro Hirai)'s FLIP FLAP FLIP FLAP Chair will be exhibited as a Special Mention award-winning product at the DFA Design for Asia Awards 2018 exhibition to be held for 15 days from Thursday, April 25th to Thursday, May 9th at GOOD DESIGN Marunouchi.

FLIP FLAP has received numerous design awards, including the world's highest design awards, the iF Design Award and the Red Dot Design Award. This latest win at the DFA Design for Asia Awards 2018 marks the seventh time that the product has received such an internationally prestigious design award.

The multi-faceted design, born from the idea of "origami," bends three-dimensionally to accommodate various postures, making it a new type of chair with a linear and simple structure that is comfortable to work in even for long periods of time. It is also a health-conscious product, and has been certified under the US environmental certification system "GREENGUARD GOLD" except for the version with lumbar support.

This is a globally renowned design award that has been held by the Hong Kong Design Centre since 2003. It aims to recognize designs that have a global impact and create new trends, and serves as a platform for talent and companies in the design field to exhibit their design projects internationally.
