Expansion of "knot Work," where warm designs generate ideas and flat connections between people
ITOKI CORPORATION (Head office: Chuo-ku, Tokyo; President and CEO: Yoshiro Hirai) has added more products that are easy to use in open spaces to its "knot Work" furniture series, which offers a wide range of styles to create unusual office spaces and stimulate imagination and communication, and released the series on November 26, 2018.
"knot Work" incorporates the English word "knot" (to weave) to refer to the weaving together of various ideas, people, and work, as well as the "not" meaning to reexamine the work we have done up until now.
As companies are facing problems with vertically integrated communication that emphasizes speed and efficiency, which creates gaps between departments, it has become necessary to incorporate communication that transcends departmental, generational, and personal boundaries. "knot Work" creates a space that is different from the uniform existing offices, creating a "place" where ideas can be easily generated. Furthermore, it promotes communication that transcends departmental boundaries and expands the relationships between employees, thereby growing organizational strength.
