ITOKI CORPORATION (Head office: Joto-ku, Osaka City, President: Yoshiro Hirai, hereinafter "ITOKI") formed a business alliance with Modernform Group Public Company Limited (hereinafter "Modernform"), a major furniture manufacturer in Thailand, in March 2014, and established a joint venture company, ITOKI MODERNFORM CO., LTD (hereinafter "ITOKI MODERNFORM"). The company began operations on July 1, 2015, and opened a new office on the 22nd floor of the Modernform headquarters building (Modernform Tower) on July 27. An opening event was held on August 27.

Through the new company, ITOKI Modern Form, ITOKI will strengthen its business partnership with Modern Form beyond furniture sales. First, ITOKI will begin sales activities in Thailand for fully automatic safe deposit boxes (known as SAD-KIII in Japan), which are part of the facility equipment product category. The annual demand for fully automatic safe deposit boxes in Thailand is estimated to be around 3 billion yen (approximately 1 billion baht), and ITOKI will develop the market with the goal of capturing the No. 1 share in this market. With a view to all products, including ITOKI's office furniture, ITOKI aims to sell all products in the Thai market and, in the future, in the Mekong region.
