ITOKI CORPORATION (Head Office: Chuo-ku, Tokyo; President: Tadashi Sawada), a group company of Dalton Corporation (Head Office: Chuo-ku, Tokyo; President: Koji Minato), will release a new aseptic isolator "Sterigion(R)" on July 9, 2025 (Wednesday) to realize more efficient and reliable high-precision sterile environments required in the pharmaceutical manufacturing and regenerative medicine industries. ), a new type of aseptic isolator that more efficiently and reliably realizes the high-precision aseptic environment required in pharmaceutical manufacturing and regenerative medicine, will be released on July 9, 2025. With its unique built-in decontamination system and innovative space structure, the new isolator solves many on-site issues with a single unit, including shorter decontamination time, compact design, and reduced risk of failure of precision equipment.

"Sterigion(R)" is a coined word that combines "Sterilization" and "Region." It has the following three features, and comprehensively resolves issues such as "decontamination efficiency," "contamination risk," and "condensation problems with precision equipment" that conventional sterile isolators have faced in sites where extremely high hygienic environments are required, such as pharmaceutical sterility testing and cell culture.

(1) Clarification of the area to be decontaminated and miniaturization of the equipment
In conventional types of sterile isolators, the decontamination area (work area) is directly connected to the retan chamber on the back, and the entire air flow path is the decontamination area. "Sterigion(R)" adopts a structure that physically isolates the decontamination area and the retan chamber with a HEPA filter. This prevents the risk of contamination even in the unlikely event of backflow.
Furthermore, our unique fan filter system has made it possible to reduce the number of intake and exhaust HEPA filters and intake fans, making the device more compact.

(2) Condensation-free built-in decontamination system that reduces the risk of breakdowns
"Sterigion(R)" is equipped with a decontamination system with the following functions:

・Using our unique crushing and classification technology, we can adjust hydrogen peroxide into fine particles of uniform particle size, thereby creating, maintaining and stabilizing the optimal humidity and hydrogen peroxide concentration.

・By making condensation and excessive condensation visible inside the warehouse and controlling the spray flow rate and low-humidity air flow rate, an optimal environment inside the warehouse for decontamination is maintained.

・Generate decontamination fluid without using a heat source and pour it into the warehouse and spread it

These measures maintain an optimal environment inside the facility for decontamination, suppressing the occurrence of condensation and reducing the risk of breakdown of precision equipment installed inside the facility, such as weighing scales. In addition to shortening decontamination time (compared to our previous model) and reducing hydrogen peroxide consumption (compared to our previous model), this also contributes to reducing the burden on cell-related materials inside the facility.

(3) High scalability that can be flexibly adapted to suit different purposes and spaces
The "Sterigion(R)" side units (pass box and decontamination unit) can be installed on either the left or right side of the device, allowing for flexible response to the environment. Since you can add other side units according to your needs, there is no need to repurchase the main unit when changing the purpose, which offers great Advantage in terms of both cost and operation.
