Itoki exhibits with CLAS at the 12th Work Style Reform EXPO (Autumn)! Proposing smart furniture that solves office noise problems

For 10,000 yen per month, rent and subscribe to new ways of working in the era of hybrid work.

ITOKI CORPORATION (Head office: Chuo-ku, Tokyo; President: Koji Minato; hereinafter "ITOKI"), in collaboration with CLAS Corporation (Head office: Meguro-ku, Tokyo; President and CEO: Hirotake Kubo; hereinafter "CLAS"), which operates the furniture and home appliance rental and subscription service "CLAS", is pleased to announce that it will exhibit at the "12th Work Style Reform EXPO (Autumn)" to be held at Makuhari Messe from September 27th (Wed) to 29th (ADDCELL), 2023. On the day, you will be able to experience ITOKI's smart office furniture "sound sound sofa" and "ADDCELL", which will be newly available at CLAS.

Solving office sound problems with subscriptions

Itoki sympathized with CLAS's sustainable, circular services and formed a partnership in May 2021. Through CLAS's service infrastructure, we have started offering subscriptions for multifunctional work chairs that are popular in offices. Since then, we have been working to achieve "Responsible Production and Responsible Use" Goal 12 of the Sustainable Development Goals/SDGs, and have been working to "create a society where nothing is thrown away."

Now, we are offering three new types of smart furniture that solve the office's "sound" problem through our corporate rental and subscription service "CLAS BUSINESS." The box-shaped sofa "sound sofa," which allows you to hold web conferences without worrying about your surroundings even in an open space, and the meeting table "sound parasol "ADDCELL closed booth "ADDCELL," which is designed to fit into any office and is considerate of people and sound, are available for a two-month trial period for 10,000 yen (excluding tax) per month. We recommend this service to companies that want to try out the service with minimal initial investment, and to startup companies that want to flexibly set up their offices for a fluid workforce. We realize a free work style and workplace through a circular "non-ownership use" where you can easily rent what you need when you need it, and return and exchange it when you no longer need it.

Smart office products that seamlessly connect people and places

At ITOKI, we are leveraging our Tech×Design know-how to develop and expand a lineup of smart office products that improve the usability of new hybrid work styles. We combine space design, technology, and furniture, such as the "sound furniture series" that solves sound problems such as sound leakage and noise in web conferences in open spaces, and the "closed booth" that can be used for a variety of purposes and solve the problem of meeting room shortages. By doing so, we will seamlessly connect people and places and realize comfortable and creative new ways of working.

Comment from Hirotake Kubo, President and Representative Director of Class Co., Ltd.

Since ITOKI began offering its high-quality, multi-functional office-grade work chairs to individuals in May 2021, they have been extremely well-received for work remotely at home. Since the COVID-19 pandemic, work styles and places have become more diverse, with hybrid work combining in-office and work remotely becoming mainstream and web conferencing becoming more common. As problems with "noise" in the office become more pronounced, a more comfortable office environment can be achieved by utilizing three types of smart furniture developed by ITOKI, a company that knows the office inside and out. Please come and experience the new smart office furniture at the joint exhibition.
Now that more and more people are returning to the office, being able to freely update the office environment according to the situation is expected to have the effect of improving employee productivity and promoting employee retention. In collaboration with Itoki, we will contribute to promoting corporate growth while at the same time realizing a circular economy that circulates resources and supporting sustainable corporate management.

Comment from Kaze Naoki, Managing Executive Officer and General Manager of the Sales Division ITOKI CORPORATION

In post-corona offices, meetings connected to various remote environments inside and outside the company are becoming more common, and there is a need to appropriately control the sound environment.
By offering ITOKI's smart office product lineup, which is realized through technology and design, on the CLAS subscription trial menu, you can easily try out effective solutions to solve office sound problems. Masu.
Please look forward to the collaboration between the two companies, which will lead in the creation of a post-coronavirus “Work Environment” and support contributions to a recycling-oriented society.
