[Industry first] Head moves automatically! New release of "LEONIS Chair" for executives' new normal work style

An executive chair that combines solidity and functionality

ITOKI CORPORATION (Head office: Chuo-ku, Tokyo; President: Yoshiro Hirai) will release the executive chair "LEONIS" in August 2020.

As the spread of COVID-19 continues to drive an increase in companies implementing new normal ways of working, the working styles of executives (directors and managers) are also changing dramatically. A survey conducted by ITOKI* found that an increasing number of executives are becoming adept at using ICT tools, proactively getting involved in their work, and creating new value.

ITOKI developed "LEONIS" based on the concept of "supple solidity" and "light functionality" to meet the working styles of executives in the new era.

1. An industry first! Active head support with a wire structure built into the main frame

When you lean back, the head support keeps the area above your shoulder blades vertical, providing firm support for your upper body even when using a smartphone or tablet or viewing a monitor during a meeting.

The height of the head support can be adjusted up and down (80mm) to suit your body type.

2. Ankle Move Synchro Rocking for a comfortable seating experience

The backrest and seat angle adjust in tandem around the ankles, allowing you to maintain a natural posture (maximum inclination 25°).

3. New lumbar mechanism that can be adjusted to suit your preferences

The lumbar pad supports the lower back by following the S-curve of the spine, helping to maintain ideal posture.
The pad can be adjusted to your preferred height (up and down 60mm) using the slide lever on the bottom right of the backrest.

4. Seat that can be adjusted to suit your body type and working posture

By operating the lever on the lower right of the seat, the seat can be adjusted to your preferred position (75mm forward or backward).

5. Height and backrest can be adjusted at hand without bending over

・Gas up/down adjustment
The seat height can be adjusted by operating the lever on the right elbow.
*The four-legged auto-return model cannot be adjusted up or down.

・Seat angle stopper
The rocking angle of the backrest can be adjusted by operating the lever at the left elbow.
It can be fixed at four points: the initial angle, the final tilt angle, and two intermediate angles (approximately 8° pitch).

・Rocking strength adjustment
You can adjust the strength of the rocking by turning the knob.

6. Bending seat for comfortable seating

Numerous slits in the inner shell of the seat create optimal flexibility in response to seated load.
It provides a comfortable seating experience that conforms to your body.
