Tours of the new office "ITOKI TOKYO XORK" will begin in mid-December!
We are unveiling our new office, which incorporates "ABW *1" and the "WELL Building Standard *2," to maximize the organization's productivity and creativity, as well as employee work engagement!

ITOKI CORPORATION (Head office: Chuo-ku, Tokyo; President: Yoshiro Hirai), which is engaged in office-related businesses including the manufacture and sale of office furniture, has begun accepting tours of ITOKI TOKYO XORK which had its grand opening on Monday, December 3, 2018, from Monday, December 17.
Itoki believes that by increasing discretion, a company's creativity and productivity will increase.
"XORK Style" incorporates "Activity Based Working (ABW)," a work style strategy that maximizes self-discretion in work style and allows workers to autonomously design their own working style.
The "ITOKI TOKYO XORK" strongly supports the "XORK Style," which has two foundations: the "space function," which redefines the 10 activities performed in the office and supports the behavioral aspect by providing a space suitable for each, and the "space quality" in accordance with the "WELL Certification" standard, which supports health from seven perspectives including air, water, and mind.
We hope that a wide range of people will come to visit, not only those considering renovating their office, but also those who are interested in ABW and WELL certification, and those who have issues with their current working styles, and that this will provide some hints for solving their issues.
ITOKI will put new ways of working into practice at ITOKI TOKYO XORK, discover what the ideal office of the future will look like, and actively disclose information about it.

*1: What is Itoki's idea of ABW?
This is a concept that aims to increase productivity by providing a space suited to each task and allowing employees to choose their own place of work depending on the task. At Itoki, we provide workspaces suited to each activity, such as solo workspaces for concentrating on individual tasks and pair workspaces for working in pairs, and by providing an environment where employees can choose their own place of work, we aim to improve business efficiency and create innovative value.
*2: What is the WELL Building Standard (WELL certification)?
In addition to the environmental and energy performance of buildings that have been evaluated by LEED, CASBEE, etc., this is the world's first building and indoor environment evaluation system that focuses on the health and comfort of the residents who live and work in the building, and in particular, evaluation points related to the residents' bodies are verified not only from the perspective of environmental engineering but also from the perspective of medicine. Evaluation items are divided into seven categories: (1) air, (2) water, (3) food, (4) light, (5) fitness, (6) comfort, and (7) mind, and platinum, gold, or silver certification is awarded depending on the number of points earned.
